“고향사랑기부금이 밥상으로” 해남군 ‘냉장고를 부탁해’ 큰 호응

해남군이 고향사랑기부제를 통해 조성된 지정기부금을 활용한 맞춤형 복지사업 ‘냉장고를 부탁해’를 지난 4월부터 9월까지 6개월간 성공적으로 추진하며 지역사회에서 큰 호응을 얻고 있다.

‘냉장고를 부탁해’는 의료급여 수급자 중 건강 취약계층 20가구를 대상으로 매월 10만 원 상당의 신선한 식재료를 직접 구입해 전달하는 사업이다.

특히 의료급여 관리사가 정기적으로 가정을 방문해 건강 상담까지 병행, 단순한 식재료 지원을 넘어 건강관리와 정서적 돌봄까지 제공하면서 수혜자들의 만족도가 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다.

사업에 참여한 한 어르신은 “몸이 아파 혼자 식사를 챙기기 어려웠는데, 매달 신선한 식재료를 직접 챙겨주고 건강까지 살펴줘 큰 힘이 된다.”며 감사의 뜻을 전했다.

군 관계자는 “기부자 여러분의 따뜻한 마음이 지역의 어려운 이웃들에게 건강한 삶을 선물하는 데 큰 힘이 됐다”며, “앞으로도 주민들에게 실질적인 도움이 되는 복지사업을 지속 발굴하겠다.”고 말했다.

해남군은 이번 사업을 포함해 고향사랑기부제를 기반으로 복지·보건·교육·지역경제 등 다양한 분야에서 군민의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 사업을 투명하고 효율적으로 확대해 나가고 있다.

“Hometown Love Donations Turn into Meals” – Haenam County’s ‘Take Care of the Refrigerator’ Program Receives High Praise
Haenam County has successfully carried out its customized welfare program, ‘Take Care of the Refrigerator’, utilizing designated donations raised through the Hometown Love Donation initiative from April to September, receiving strong support and positive feedback from the local community.
The program targets 20 households among medical aid recipients who are in vulnerable health conditions, providing them with fresh groceries worth 100,000 KRW per month.
In addition, medical aid managers regularly visit the homes of participants to offer health consultations, going beyond simple food support to provide health management and emotional care, which has significantly increased the satisfaction of the beneficiaries.
One elderly participant expressed gratitude, saying, “It was difficult to prepare meals on my own due to my health, but receiving fresh groceries every month and having my health checked gives me great strength.”
A county official stated, “The warm hearts of our donors have played a crucial role in giving local residents in need a healthier life. We will continue to develop welfare programs that provide practical support to our community.”
Haenam County plans to continue expanding programs that enhance residents’ quality of life across welfare, health, education, and local economy sectors, based on the transparent and efficient use of donations through the Hometown Love Donation initiative.
