“어두운 골목길도 안심하고 귀가”…해남 화산파출소, 개학 전 통학로 점검

해남경찰서 화산파출소가 개학을 앞두고 학생들이 안심하고 등·하교할 수 있도록 학교 주변 통학로와 취약지역에 대한 범죄예방 점검에 나섰다.

화산파출소는 학생들의 통행이 잦은 학교 주변 공부방과 골목길, 주요 통학로를 대상으로 ‘학생 안심귀가 솔라등’의 부착 상태와 정상 작동 여부를 점검했다고 19일 밝혔다.

이번 점검은 개학 이후 통학로를 이용하는 학생들의 안전을 확보하고 학교 주변에서 발생할 수 있는 범죄와 안전사고를 예방하기 위해 마련됐다.

경찰은 안심귀가 솔라등을 비롯해 가로등과 폐쇄회로(CC)TV 등 방범시설의 관리 상태를 살피고, 학생들의 보행을 방해하거나 안전을 위협할 수 있는 위험요소가 있는지도 확인했다.

특히 차량 진입이 어려운 학교 후문과 좁고 어두운 골목길 등 학생들이 불안감을 느낄 수 있는 취약지역에 대한 순찰을 강화했다.
청소년 비행과 각종 범죄를 예방하기 위해 학교 주변 주민들과의 협력체계도 점검하고, 학생과 주민이 경찰의 순찰 활동을 직접 체감할 수 있도록 가시적인 순찰을 병행했다.

한 주민은 “학교 후문 주변에는 차량이 다닐 수 없을 정도로 좁은 골목이 많고 밤이 되면 어두워 학생들이 다니기에 불안했다”며 “학생 안심귀가 솔라등이 설치된 뒤 골목길이 한층 밝아져 안심된다.”고 말했다.

이홍주 화산파출소장은 “개학 이후에도 학생들이 안전하게 학교를 오갈 수 있도록 학교 주변과 통학로에 대한 순찰과 점검을 지속해서 실시하겠다.”며 “지역사회와 협력해 학생 안전을 지키고 범죄를 예방하는 데 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다

The Hwasan Police Substation of Haenam Police Station has inspected school routes and vulnerable areas ahead of the new semester to ensure that students can travel to and from school safely.
The police announced on Wednesday that officers had checked the installation and operation of solar-powered safety lights along routes frequently used by students, including areas near schools, study rooms and narrow alleys.
The inspection was conducted to improve student safety and prevent crime and accidents around schools after classes resume.
Officers examined crime-prevention facilities, including solar-powered safety lights, streetlights and closed-circuit television cameras. They also checked pedestrian conditions and identified hazards that could obstruct or endanger students.
Patrols were strengthened around school back gates, narrow alleys inaccessible to vehicles and other poorly lit areas where students could feel unsafe.
The police also reinforced cooperation with nearby residents to prevent juvenile delinquency and other crimes. Visible patrols were conducted so that students and residents could directly feel an increased police presence.
One resident said, “There are many narrow alleys around the school’s back gate that vehicles cannot enter. They become very dark at night, so we used to worry about students walking through them. The solar-powered safety lights have made the alleys much brighter and safer.”
Lee Hong-ju, chief of the Hwasan Police Substation, said, “Even after the new semester begins, we will continue inspecting and patrolling school zones and commuting routes so students can travel safely.”
“We will work closely with the local community and do our utmost to protect students and prevent crime,” he added
