“보이스피싱, 이제 벨소리로 막는다!”

해남경찰서(서장 안형주) 황산파출소(소장 최성호)는 지난 30일 관내 마을회관을 순회하며 고령의 어르신들을 대상으로 한 보이스피싱 예방 활동을 진행했다.

최근 지능화된 보이스피싱 범죄가 급증함에 따라, 황산파출소는 낯선 전화번호에 대한 경각심을 높이고자 전남경찰청이 자체 개발한 보이스피싱 예방 벨소리를 활용했다.

홍보지에 삽입된 QR코드를 통해 벨소리를 손쉽게 설치할 수 있으며, 경찰관이 직접 현장에서 어르신들의 스마트폰에 벨소리를 설치해 큰 호응을 얻었다.

보이스피싱 예방 벨소리는 가족·지인을 사칭한 메신저 피싱, 경찰·검찰 등 공공기관 사칭, 악성 링크를 통한 개인정보 탈취형 스미싱, 저금리 대출 사기 등 다양한 유형을 경고하는 내용으로 구성되어 있으며, 발라드와 트로트 등 4종의 버전으로 제공돼 연령대별 선호에 맞춘 선택이 가능하다.

특히 어르신들은 흥겨운 트로트 버전을 가장 선호했다.

황산파출소 최성호 소장은 “앞으로도 해남군민들이 보이스피싱 범죄로부터 안전하게 생활할 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

“Stop Voice Phishing with a Ringtone!”
Haesan Police Station Launches Prevention Campaign for Seniors
Haesan Police Station (Chief Choi Sung-ho) of Haenam Police (Chief Ahn Hyung-joo) conducted a voice phishing prevention campaign for elderly residents at local village halls on the 30th.
With the recent surge in sophisticated voice phishing crimes, Haesan Police utilized a specially developed voice phishing prevention ringtone created by the Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency to raise awareness about unfamiliar phone numbers.
Residents were able to easily install the ringtone via a QR code included in informational leaflets, and police officers assisted seniors in installing the ringtone directly on their smartphones, receiving enthusiastic responses.
The voice phishing prevention ringtone covers various types of scams, including messenger phishing impersonating family or acquaintances, impersonation of public institutions such as the police or prosecution, smishing to steal personal information via malicious links, and loan scams disguised as low-interest loans. It is available in four versions, including ballad and trot styles, allowing selection according to age group preferences.
Among seniors, the lively trot version was particularly popular.
Chief Choi Sung-ho of Haesan Police Station stated, “We will continue our best efforts to ensure that Haenam residents can live safely, free from voice phishing crimes.”
