“해남 오시아노, 세계 캠핑관광 메카 부상”

국내 유일의 캠핑과 관광 융합형 축제인 2025 전남캠핑관광박람회가 3만 5천여 명의 방문객이 몰린 가운데 성황리에 막을 내리며, 해남 오시아노 관광단지가 세계적 캠핑관광지로 도약할 가능성을 입증했다.

해남군은 지난 10월 17일부터 19일까지 해남 오시아노관광단지 일원에서 캠핑 관련 100개 기업이 참여한 박람회와 4,000명 규모의 대형 캠핑대회를 개최했다.

행사 기간 동안 캠핑객과 관광객이 대거 방문하며, 오시아노 관광단지는 캠핑의 전시·체험·축제가 한 곳에 집약된 국내 유일 행사장으로서 위상을 다졌다.

박람회는 25만㎡의 넓은 부지에서 캠핑카·카라반·캠핑용품 전시와 체험 행사가 진행됐으며, 지속가능한 친환경 캠핑 캠페인, 음악공연, 포럼 등이 어우러진 복합 캠핑문화 축제로 구성됐다.

가족 단위 캠핑동호인들의 발길이 끊이지 않았고, 캠핑 젠가·부시크래프트·해멍 라운지·미로체험 등 참여형 프로그램이 큰 호응을 얻었다.

특히 박람회장 앞 무인도 ‘닭섬’에서는 오프그리드 캠핑 체험이 진행돼 ‘탈일상 힐링 프로그램’으로 주목받았으며, 자연환경에너지관 운영과 지역 농수특산품 소비 프로그램을 연계해 친환경·지역상생의 방향성도 제시했다.

또한 이번 행사는 오시아노 파인비치골프링크스에서 열린 LPGA 대회와 동시에 진행돼 시너지 효과를 극대화했다.

LPGA 생중계를 통해 해남 화원의 청정 자연환경이 150여 개국에 전파되며, ‘스포츠+캠핑+관광’ 세계적 콘텐츠 경쟁력이 확인됐다는 평가를 받고 있다.

명현관 해남군수는 “오시아노 관광단지가 RE100 국가 산단, 에너지신도시 조성과 연계돼 해남 미래 산업과 관광의 시너지를 이끌 것”이라며, “전남도·박지원 국회의원과 긴밀히 협력해 세계인이 찾는 캠핑관광 중심지로 육성하고 국제행사로 도약시키겠다.”고 밝혔다.

“Haenam Osiano Emerging as a Global Camping & Tourism Hub”
Jeonnam Camping & Tourism Expo draws 35,000 visitors… Solidifying its status as Korea’s only camping-tourism convergence festival
The 2025 Jeonnam Camping & Tourism Expo, the nation’s only festival combining camping and tourism, concluded in great success with over 35,000 visitors, reaffirming the potential of the Haenam Osiano Tourism Complex to develop into a world-class camping and outdoor tourism destination.
Held from October 17 to 19 across the Osiano Tourism Complex in Haenam, the event featured a large-scale camping competition with 4,000 participants and an expo showcasing 100 camping-related companies.
Throughout the three-day festival, campers and tourists flocked to the venue, establishing Osiano as the only place in Korea where camping exhibitions, hands-on programs, and cultural events are integrated into one site.
The expo was staged over a vast 250,000m² area, featuring camping cars, caravans, and a wide range of camping gear for both display and experiential programs. A variety of events—including a sustainable eco-camping campaign, music performances, and thematic forums—created a comprehensive camping-culture festival.
Family campers and hobby groups filled the venue all day, enjoying interactive programs such as camping giant-jenga, bushcraft activities, a healing “Sea-Meditation Lounge,” maze trails, and more.
A special off-grid camping program on the nearby uninhabited island Dakseom drew major attention from those seeking a break from daily life. In addition, the event promoted environmental sustainability by operating a Nature & Energy Pavilion and encouraging local product consumption as part of its “zero-baggage camping” initiative.
The expo also generated strong synergy by being held in parallel with the LPGA tournament at Osiano’s Pine Beach Golf Links. Through the live global broadcast of the LPGA event to more than 150 countries, Haenam’s pristine coastal scenery gained international exposure—boosting the region’s potential as a destination for sports, camping, and tourism on a global scale.
Haenam County Mayor Myeong Hyeon-gwan stated,
“The Osiano Tourism Complex will create strong synergy with our RE100 National Industrial Complex and Energy New Town projects, driving Haenam’s future industries and tourism growth. In partnership with the Jeonnam Provincial Government and National Assemblyman Park Jie-won, we will foster Osiano into a global center for camping tourism and advance toward hosting international-level events.”
