완도군, 제10회 장보고한상 어워드 개최

완도군은 오는 9월 28일 청해진스포츠센터에서 ‘제10회 장보고한상 어워드’ 시상식을 개최한다.

이번 시상식은 ‘21세기 장보고 발굴 프로젝트’의 일환으로, 재외동포 경제인 가운데 한민족 정체성 함양과 글로벌 경제 공동체 구축에 크게 기여한 인물을 기리기 위해 마련됐다.

‘장보고 대상’에는 스페인에서 원양어업과 무역 분야에서 두각을 나타낸 권영호 인터불고 회장이 만장일치로 선정됐다.

이와 함께 국회의장상 최영철 사나그룹 회장(케냐), 문화체육관광부 장관상 김종순 JS홀딩스 회장(영국), 농림축산식품부 장관상 전미자 아카키코 회장(오스트리아), 산업통상자원부 장관상 박원규 넥스트트레이딩 회장(콜롬비아), 해양수산부 장관상 하순섭 한파그룹 회장(팔라우) 등 총 6명이 수상의 영예를 안는다.

행사에서는 AI 감상문 공모 시상식, 한상-모국기업인 상생 파트너십 대회, 수출 상담회 등 다채로운 프로그램이 함께 진행된다.

이어 29일에는 영암 아크로컨트리클럽에서 ‘제4회 장보고-최경주배 자선 골프대회’가 열려 수상자와 지역 인사들이 스포츠 교류와 기부 문화 확산에 동참할 예정이다.

한편, 장보고한상 어워드는 지난 2016년 제정 이후 현재까지 23개국 55명의 수상자를 배출하며 ‘장한상 인적 네트워크’를 중심으로 특산품 해외 판로 개척 등 지역사회 발전에 크게 기여해 왔다.

김덕룡 이사장은 “장보고한상 어워드는 비즈니스, 문화, 힐링을 아우르는 세계 유일의 재외동포 경제인 교류의 장”이라며 “앞으로도 글로벌 한민족 네트워크를 강화하고 모국과의 협력을 이어가겠다.”고 밝혔다.

Wando County to Host the 10th Jang Bogo HanSang Award Ceremony
“Strengthening the Global Korean Network and Contributing to Regional Development”
Wando County will host the 10th Jang Bogo HanSang Award Ceremony on September 28 at the Cheonghaejin Sports Center.
The award is part of the “21st Century Jang Bogo Discovery Project,” established to honor overseas Korean entrepreneurs who have contributed to fostering Korean identity and building a global economic community.
This year’s Grand Jang Bogo Award will be presented to Kwon Young-ho, Chairman of Interburgo (Spain), who has achieved remarkable success in the fields of deep-sea fishing and international trade.
Other honorees include:
Choi Young-chul, Chairman of Sana Group (Kenya), National Assembly Speaker’s Award
Kim Jong-soon, Chairman of JS Holdings (UK), Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award
Jeon Mi-ja, Chairman of Akakiko (Austria), Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award
Park Won-kyu, Chairman of Next Trading (Colombia), Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award
Ha Soon-seop, Chairman of Hanfa Group (Palau), Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Award
In addition to the award ceremony, a variety of events will be held, including an AI essay contest awards ceremony, a partnership forum between overseas Korean entrepreneurs and domestic businesses, and an export consultation fair.
On September 29, the 4th Jang Bogo–Choi Kyung-ju Charity Golf Tournament will take place at the Yeongam Acro Country Club, where award recipients and local leaders will share fellowship through sports while promoting a culture of giving.
Since its inception in 2016, the Jang Bogo HanSang Award has recognized 55 recipients from 23 countries. Through its global “HanSang Network,” the program has played a vital role in opening overseas markets for regional specialties and contributing to community development.
Chairman Kim Deok-ryong stated, “The Jang Bogo HanSang Award has become the world’s only platform for overseas Korean business leaders to exchange ideas and cooperate across business, culture, and healing. We will continue to strengthen the global Korean network and build sustainable cooperation with the homeland.”
