전통 판소리의 진수를 한 자리에서 만날 수 있는 특별한 공연 무대가 전북 전주에서 펼쳐진다.

우진문화재단은 오는 6월 21일부터 10월 11일까지 전북 전주시 소재 우진문화공간 예술극장에서 K-Sori 플랫폼 ‘해설이 있는 판소리 다섯 바탕’ 공연 시리즈를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 공연은 우리 전통 판소리의 예술성과 대중성을 동시에 살리기 위해 마련된 기획 무대로, 각 분야 실력파 소리꾼과 해설진이 함께 참여해 관객들이 보다 쉽고 깊이 있게 판소리를 이해할 수 있도록 구성됐다.

공연은 매회 일요일 오후 4시에 진행되며, 강산제·김세종제·박봉술제·동초제·미산제 등 판소리 유파별 대표 바탕을 중심으로 다채로운 무대가 이어진다.

첫 공연은 오는 6월 21일 소리꾼 현미의 강산제 심청가 무대로 시작된다. 이어 7월 12일에는 임현빈 명창이 김세종제 춘향가를 선보이며, 7월 26일에는 박수범 명창이 박봉술제 적벽가 공연으로 관객들과 만난다.

또 9월 20일에는 최현주 명창의 동초제 흥보가, 마지막으로 10월 11일에는 김송 명창의 미산제 수궁가 공연이 이어질 예정이다.

특히 이번 공연은 단순한 전통예술 공연을 넘어 ‘K-Sori 플랫폼’이라는 이름 아래 판소리 생태계 구축과 지역 전통문화 활성화라는 의미를 함께 담고 있다는 점에서 관심을 모으고 있다.

우진문화재단은 오랜 기간 판소리와 국악 공연을 지속적으로 기획해온 지역 대표 문화예술기관으로, 전통예술 보존과 대중화에 앞장서고 있다.

공연 관계자는 “해설이 함께하는 이번 공연은 국악을 처음 접하는 시민들도 쉽고 편안하게 판소리의 매력을 느낄 수 있도록 구성했다”며 “전통 소리의 깊은 울림과 한국적 정서를 함께 나누는 시간이 되길 기대한다.”고 말했다.

A special stage showcasing the essence of traditional Korean pansori will be presented in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do.
The Woojin Cultural Foundation announced that it will host the K-Sori Platform performance series, “Pansori Five Classics with Commentary,” from June 21 to October 11 at the Woojin Art Theater in Jeonju.
The program has been designed to highlight both the artistic excellence and accessibility of traditional pansori. Acclaimed performers and commentators from various pansori schools will participate, allowing audiences to better understand and appreciate the depth of the traditional vocal art form.
All performances will take place on Sundays at 4 p.m., featuring representative repertoires from major pansori traditions including Gangsanje, Gim Sejong-je, Park Bong-sul-je, Dongcho-je, and Misan-je styles.
The series will open on June 21 with singer Hyun Mi performing “Simcheongga” in the Gangsanje style. On July 12, master singer Lim Hyun-bin will present “Chunhyangga” in the Gim Sejong-je tradition, followed by Park Soo-beom’s performance of “Jeokbyeokga” in the Park Bong-sul-je style on July 26.
Additional performances include Choi Hyun-joo’s “Heungboga” in the Dongcho-je style on September 20 and Kim Song’s “Sugungga” in the Misan-je tradition on October 11.
The performance series is drawing attention not only as a traditional arts event, but also as part of the broader “K-Sori Platform” initiative aimed at building a sustainable pansori ecosystem and revitalizing regional traditional culture.
The Woojin Cultural Foundation has long been recognized as a leading regional cultural institution dedicated to preserving and popularizing Korean traditional music and performing arts.
A foundation official stated, “With commentary included throughout the performances, even first-time audiences will be able to enjoy and understand the beauty of pansori more easily. We hope this series will provide an opportunity to share the profound resonance and uniquely Korean emotions embodied in traditional sound.”
