2025년 10월 열린 APEC 정상회의를 계기로 미국과 중국 등 주요 강대국 정상들이 한반도를 찾았고, 2026년 들어 이탈리아, 프랑스, 폴란드 등 유럽 핵심국 지도자들까지 잇따라 대한민국을 방문하고 있다.
이 일련의 흐름은 단순한 외교 일정의 확대가 아니라, 대한민국이 더 이상 주변부 국가가 아닌 글로벌 질서의 중심축으로 이동하고 있음을 보여주는 분명한 신호다.

과거의 외교는 선언과 협약, 형식적 관계에 머물렀다.

이러한 변화 속에서 이재명 대통령의 외교 전략은 분명한 방향성을 드러낸다. 산업과 에너지, 안보를 하나로 묶는 통합 전략 외교는 대한민국을 글로벌 공급망과 기술 패권 경쟁의 중심에 고정시키려는 시도다. 미·중 경쟁과 유럽의 재편, 에너지 전환과 AI 패권 경쟁이 동시에 진행되는 이 복합 위기 속에서 한국은 더 이상 선택을 기다리는 국가가 아니라, 질서를 설계하는 국가로 이동하고 있다.

그러나 이 거대한 변화의 흐름 앞에서 우리는 반드시 되묻지 않을 수 없다.
대한민국이 세계 중심으로 나아가는 이 순간, 전남과 해남은 과연 어디에 서 있는가.
그 흐름 위에 올라타고 있는가, 아니면 여전히 관망자의 위치에 머물러 있는가.

AI 시대의 본질은 단순하다.
전기를 가진 곳이 데이터를 지배하고, 데이터를 지배하는 곳이 미래를 지배한다.
해남은 이미 재생에너지 기반이라는 결정적 자산을 가지고 있다.

그럼에도 불구하고 규제와 행정의 지연, 전략 부재가 이 기회를 붙잡지 못하게 만든다면 결과는 분명하다. 기회는 준비된 곳으로 이동하고, 준비되지 않은 곳은 다시 주변으로 밀려난다.

Yet, in the face of this profound transformation, a critical question must be asked.
At this very moment when South Korea is advancing toward the center of the world, where do Jeonnam and Haenam stand?
Are they riding this wave, or are they still observing from the sidelines?
The essence of the AI era is simple.
Those who control electricity control data, and those who control data control the future.
Haenam already possesses a decisive asset: a strong foundation in renewable energy.
Centered on Solaseado, its power infrastructure and potential rank among the best in the nation.
If combined with data centers, AI industries, and RE100-based industrial complexes, Haenam could transform from a peripheral locality into a strategic national hub.
