설 명절을 앞둔 해남에 또 한 번 따뜻한 소식이 전해졌다.

해남읍에서 ‘육류천왕’을 운영하는 육류천왕(대표 정훈기)이 최근 해남장애인종합복지관에 후원금 200만 원을 기탁하며 지역사회 나눔을 실천했다.

이번 후원금은 복지관이 설 명절을 맞아 준비한 ‘설맞이 민속한마당’ 행사 후원품 구입에 사용될 예정이다.
행사에는 복지관을 이용하는 장애인 등 총 300명이 참여해 명절의 정을 나누게 된다.
단순한 금액을 넘어, 명절의 기쁨을 함께 나누겠다는 마음이 담긴 기탁이다.

육류천왕의 나눔은 어제오늘의 일이 아니다.

정훈기 대표는 2016년부터 매년 한돈 나눔과 이웃돕기 성금 기탁을 이어오며 지역사회와 상생의 길을 걸어왔다.
지난해 11월 20일에도 한돈 350kg(약 630만 원 상당)을 지역 내 아동센터 24개소에 전달하며 아이들의 밥상에 따뜻한 온기를 더했다.

지역에서 얻은 사랑을 다시 지역으로 돌려보내겠다는 그의 철학은 해마다 구체적인 실천으로 이어지고 있다.

정훈기 대표는 “설 명절을 맞아 작은 정성이지만 모두가 따뜻한 시간을 보내는 데 도움이 되길 바란다.”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하는 나눔 활동을 꾸준히 이어가겠다.”고 말했다.

김도영 해남장애인종합복지관 관장은 “장애인분들을 위한 따뜻한 나눔을 실천해 주신 육류천왕에 깊이 감사드린다.”며 “후원금은 이용자들이 즐겁고 의미 있는 설 명절을 보낼 수 있도록 소중히 사용하겠다.”고 전했다.

경기 침체와 소비 위축 속에서도 지역 상인의 손길은 멈추지 않았다.
가게 문을 여는 손과, 이웃을 향해 내미는 손이 다르지 않다는 것을 보여주는 실천이다.

해남읍 한 골목의 정육점에서 시작된 나눔은 그렇게 300명의 명절을 더 따뜻하게 밝히고 있다.

Yukryu Cheonwang CEO Jeong Hoon-gi Donates 2 Million KRW to Welfare Center Ahead of Lunar New Year, Bringing Warmth to 300 People
As the Lunar New Year approaches, another heartwarming story has arrived in Haenam.
Yukryu Cheonwang, a local butcher shop in Haenam-eup led by CEO Jeong Hoon-gi, recently donated 2 million KRW to the Haenam Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled, continuing its tradition of community giving.
The donated funds will be used to purchase supplies for the “Seollal Traditional Folk Festival” hosted by the welfare center. Approximately 300 individuals with disabilities who use the center’s services are expected to participate in the event and share in the spirit of the holiday. More than just a financial contribution, the donation reflects a heartfelt desire to share the joy of the season.
Yukryu Cheonwang’s generosity is not a one-time act.
Since 2016, CEO Jeong has consistently carried out social contribution activities, including annual pork-sharing events and charitable donations for neighbors in need. On November 20 last year, he donated 350 kilograms of Korean pork (worth approximately 6.3 million KRW) to 24 local children’s centers, adding warmth to the dining tables of many children.
His philosophy—returning the love received from the community back to the community—has taken shape through steady, meaningful action year after year.
“Although it is a small gesture, I hope it helps everyone spend a warmer and more joyful Lunar New Year,” said Jeong. “We will continue to carry out sharing activities together with the local community.”
Kim Do-young, director of the Haenam Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled, expressed gratitude, saying, “We sincerely appreciate Yukryu Cheonwang for practicing such warm generosity for people with disabilities. The donation will be used carefully to ensure our service users can enjoy a meaningful and joyful holiday.”
Even amid economic slowdown and reduced consumer spending, the hands of this local business owner have not stopped reaching out.
The same hands that open the shop doors each morning are the hands extended toward neighbors in need. From a small butcher shop on a street corner in Haenam-eup, an act of sharing is brightening the holiday season for 300 people.
