해남경찰서, 개학철 어린이 교통사고 예방 캠페인 실시

해남경찰서(서장 안형주)는 3일 오전 해남동초등학교 일대에서 해남군청, 해남교육지원청, 녹색어머니회, 모범운전자회 등 약 55명이 참여한 가운데 개학철 어린이 교통사고 예방 캠페인을 실시했다.

이번 캠페인은 “멈추고, 살피고, 건너요.”를 슬로건으로 어린이 보호구역 내 안전 수칙 준수를 강조하며 진행됐다.

행사에서는 운전자에게 서행 운전과 정지선 준수의 중요성을 알리고, 어린이들에게는 횡단보도 안전 수칙 안내와 함께 홍보 물품을 배부하며 교통안전 의식을 높였다.

안형주 해남경찰서장은 “어린이와 고령자 등 교통약자의 안전을 지키기 위해 등굣길 캠페인과 찾아가는 교통안전교육 등 다양한 활동을 이어가고 있다.”라며, “군민 모두가 교통법규를 준수해 안전한 교통문화가 정착될 수 있도록 적극 동참해 주시기 바란다.”라고 말했다.

해남경찰서는 앞으로도 학교 주변 안전 확보와 어린이 교통사고 예방을 위해 지속적인 활동을 펼칠 예정이다.

Haenam Police Conduct Campaign to Prevent Children's Traffic Accidents at the Start of the School Year

Haenam Police Station (Chief Ahn Hyeong-ju) conducted a campaign on the morning of the 3rd around Haenam Dong Elementary School to prevent traffic accidents involving children at the start of the school year. Approximately 55 participants joined the campaign, including representatives from Haenam County Office, Haenam Office of Education, the Green Mothers' Association, and the Exemplary Drivers' Association.
The campaign was carried out under the slogan “Stop, Look, and Cross”, emphasizing adherence to safety rules within school zones.
During the event, drivers were reminded of the importance of driving slowly and obeying stop lines, while children were guided on pedestrian crossing safety and given promotional materials to raise awareness of traffic safety.
Chief Ahn Hyeong-ju of Haenam Police stated, “To protect vulnerable road users, such as children and the elderly, we continue to conduct various activities, including morning school patrol campaigns and on-site traffic safety education.” He added, “We ask all residents to comply with traffic laws so that a safe traffic culture can be established.”
Haenam Police Station will continue its efforts to ensure safety around schools and prevent traffic accidents involving children.
