해남 송호해수욕장, 피서객 1만 8천여 명 방문 – 전년 대비 32.2% 증가

해남 송호 해수욕장이 올여름 피서객들로부터 큰 인기를 끌며 다시 명성을 회복하고 있다.

군에 따르면, 지난 7월 18일부터 8월 17일까지 한 달간 송호 해수욕장을 찾은 피서객은 총 1만 7,893명으로, 지난해 1만 3,537명보다 32.2%(4,356명) 증가했다.

올해 방문객 증가는 다양한 연령대가 함께 즐길 수 있는 프로그램 운영에 주력한 결과다. 대규모 공연 대신 소규모 버스킹 공연을 상시 운영하고, 모래조각 전시, 어린이 물놀이터(워터슬라이드, 에어풀장), 수상레저 체험(바나나보트, 패들보드, 플라이피시보트, 래프팅보트 등), 지역 특산물을 활용한 해변펍 등 다채로운 콘텐츠를 마련했다.

특히 패들보드 오래 버티기·경주 대회, 래프팅보트 단체 경기, OX퀴즈 이벤트 등을 통해 수상레저 체험권과 지역 특산물인 전복을 경품으로 제공하며 방문객들에게 특별한 추억을 선사했다.

또한, 감성적인 포토존과 소나무 숲, 아름다운 일몰 풍경은 가족 단위 피서객부터 청년층, 외국인 관광객까지 사로잡았다.

군은 개장 전후로 안전관리와 청소 인력을 배치하고, 안전·야간부표와 인명 구조함 등 안전시설을 확충하는 한편, 유관기관과 협력체계를 구축해 안전하고 쾌적한 해수욕장 운영에 만전을 기했다.

군 관계자는 “송호 해수욕장은 해남의 아름다운 자연과 다양한 콘텐츠가 어우러진 최고의 여름 관광지로 자리매김하고 있다.”며 “앞으로도 누구나 다시 찾고 싶은 안전하고 매력적인 해변을 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

일몰이 아름답고 소나무 숲이 인상적인 송호 해수욕장은, 이제 다시 찾게 되는 해변으로 자리 잡고 있다.

Haenam Songho Beach Welcomes 18,000 Visitors – 32.2% Increase from Last Year
Diverse Water Activities and On-Site Events Establish It as a “Beach to Return To”
Songho Beach in Haenam regained its reputation this summer, drawing strong popularity from vacationers.
According to the county, a total of 17,893 visitors came to Songho Beach during the one-month period from July 18 to August 17. This marks an increase of 32.2% (4,356 people) compared to last year’s 13,537 visitors.
This surge in visitors is attributed to the beach’s focus on offering programs that appeal to a wide range of age groups. Instead of large-scale performances, small busking shows were held throughout the season. Additionally, attractions such as sand sculpture exhibitions, children’s water play areas (water slides and air pools), water leisure experiences (banana boats, paddle boards, flying fish boats, rafting boats), and a beach pub featuring local specialties were provided.
In particular, events such as the Paddle Board Endurance and Racing Competitions, Rafting Boat Team Matches, and OX Quiz Games offered participants prizes including water leisure vouchers and local specialties such as abalone, leaving visitors with unforgettable memories.
The beach also captivated guests with sentimental photo zones, pine forests, and breathtaking sunsets, attracting not only families but also young people and international tourists.
To ensure a safe and pleasant environment, the county deployed safety and cleaning staff before and after opening, enhanced facilities such as safety and night buoys and rescue stations, and worked in close cooperation with related organizations.
A county official stated, “Songho Beach has become one of the best summer destinations, where Haenam’s beautiful nature and diverse contents come together. We will continue to do our best to create a safe and attractive beach that everyone will want to revisit.”
With its beautiful sunsets and iconic pine forests, Songho Beach is once again becoming a beach worth returning to.
