해남군, 농기계 종합보험료 80% 지원 “안전하게 농사지으세요.”

해남군은 농기계 사고로 인한 피해를 최소화하기 위해 농기계 종합보험 가입을 당부하고 나섰다.

군은 보험료의 80%를 지원해 농업인은 20%만 부담하면 되며, 가입 대상은 만 19세 이상 농업인과 농업법인으로 관내 모든 농협에서 연중 신청 가능하다.

보장 대상 농기계는 총 13종으로 경운기, 트랙터, 콤바인, SS농약분무차량, 승용관리기, 승용이앙기, 드론·항공방제기, 광역방제기, 베일러, 농용굴삭기, 농업용 동력운반차, 로우더, 고소작업차 등이 포함된다.

가입 후 1년간 농기계 손해, 자기신체사고, 대인·대물배상, 적재농산물 위험담보 특약 등을 보장받을 수 있다.

최근 해남군의 농기계 사고 통계에 따르면, 2024년 기준 농기계 관련 사망사고 3건, 중상·경상사고 25건이 발생했으며, 기계화 농업이 늘어나면서 사고 위험도 증가하는 추세다.

군은 이에 따라 농업인에게 안전수칙 준수를 강력히 당부하고 있다.

주요 안전수칙은 작업 전후 농기계 점검, 보호구·안전화 착용, 드론 비행 시 안전거리 확보, 경운기 내리막길 조작 유의 및 야간 운행 시 등화장치 점등, 콤바인·베일러 회전체 안전 관리, 트랙터 제동장치 점검 및 안전 프레임 유지, 교통법규 준수 등이다.

군 관계자는 “농업기계 사고를 예방하려면 사용 전 장비 점검과 안전수칙 준수가 무엇보다 중요하다.”며, “농기계 종합보험 가입과 함께 안전한 영농활동을 이어가시길 바란다.”고 말했다.

Haenam County Supports 80% of Comprehensive Agricultural Machinery Insurance Premiums: “Farm Safely”
Encouraging farmers to enroll in insurance and follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents
Haenam County is urging farmers to enroll in comprehensive agricultural machinery insurance to minimize damage from farm machinery accidents.
The county covers 80% of the insurance premium, leaving farmers responsible for only 20%. Eligible applicants include farmers aged 19 and above and agricultural corporations. Applications can be submitted year-round at all local NongHyup branches.
The insurance covers a total of 13 types of machinery, including tillers, tractors, combines, SS pesticide sprayers, ride-on cultivators, ride-on rice transplanters, drones and aerial spraying equipment, wide-area spraying machines, balers, agricultural excavators, agricultural transport vehicles, loaders, and high-altitude work vehicles.
The insurance is valid for one year from the date of enrollment and provides coverage for machinery damage, personal injury, liability for bodily injury and property damage, and special coverage for loaded agricultural products.
According to recent statistics from Haenam County, three fatal accidents and 25 serious or minor injuries involving agricultural machinery occurred in 2024, with the risk increasing as agricultural mechanization expands.
The county strongly encourages farmers to follow safety guidelines, including inspecting machinery before and after use, wearing protective gear and safety shoes, maintaining a safe distance when operating drones, exercising caution on downhill slopes with tillers and using lights when driving at night, managing rotating parts on combines and balers safely, checking tractor brakes and maintaining safety frames, and complying with traffic laws.
A county official said, “Preventing agricultural machinery accidents requires careful equipment inspection and strict adherence to safety guidelines,” and added, “We hope farmers will enroll in comprehensive agricultural machinery insurance and continue their farming activities safely.”
