진도군이 보건복지부 주관 ‘제8기 지역보건의료계획(2023~2026) 2차년도 시행 결과 및 3차 년도 시행계획 평가’에서 우수 지자체로 선정돼 보건복지부 장관상을 수상했다.

지난 10월 1일 서울에서 열린 성과 공유회 및 시상식에서 진도군은 2차 년도 시행 결과를 구체적·종합적으로 분석하고, 연관성 높은 개선 방안을 제시한 점이 높은 평가를 받았다.

진도군은 주민 중심의 예방적·통합적 건강관리 강화, 보건의료 역량 강화 및 감염병 관리, 치매·정신 안전망 구축 등 건강한 지역사회 조성을 위한 전략을 적극 추진해 왔다.

김희수 진도군수는 “지역 보건의료 수준 향상을 위해 구체적 목표와 실행 방안을 마련한 노력이 결실을 맺어 기쁘다”며, “앞으로도 공공보건의료서비스를 충실히 실천해 ‘군민이 주인, 살기 좋은 진도’를 만들어 나가겠다.”고 밝혔다.

한편, 보건복지부는 지난 4월 전국 지자체의 2024년도 지역보건의료계획을 평가해 32개 우수 지자체를 선정했다.

Jindo County Wins Ministry of Health and Welfare Award in 8th Local Healthcare Plan Evaluation
– Selected as an ‘Excellent Local Government’ in 2025 Local Healthcare Plan Assessment –
Jindo County has been recognized as an excellent local government in the 8th Local Healthcare Plan (2023–2026) evaluation, organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award.
At the performance-sharing and awards ceremony held in Seoul on October 1, Jindo County was highly praised for its thorough and comprehensive analysis of the second-year implementation results and for proposing highly relevant improvement measures.
The county has actively promoted strategies to build a healthy local community, including strengthening resident-centered preventive and integrated health management, enhancing healthcare capabilities and infectious disease control, and establishing dementia and mental health safety networks.
Mayor Hee-su Kim of Jindo County said, “We are delighted that our meticulous efforts to set concrete goals and implement measures to improve local healthcare have been recognized. We will continue to faithfully provide public healthcare services to realize a ‘Jindo where residents are the owners and it is a great place to live.’”
Meanwhile, in April, the Ministry of Health and Welfare formed an evaluation committee to assess local healthcare plans nationwide for 2024 and selected 32 outstanding local governments.
