진도군, 추석맞이 예초기 무상 수리 및 안전교육

진도군이 다가오는 추석 명절을 맞아 주민들의 안전사고 예방과 생활 편의를 위해 예초기 무상 수리와 안전교육을 실시한다.

이번 행사는 9월 16일부터 26일까지 진도군 7개 읍면을 순회하며 진행된다.

추석 연휴 전 예초기 사용이 늘면서 매년 안전사고도 증가하고 있는 가운데, 군은 예초기 수리에 필요한 소모품과 안전용품을 예산 소진 시까지 무상으로 지원할 예정이다.

출장 수리와 교육을 통해 군민들은 직접 예초기를 가져오지 않아도 편리하게 서비스를 받을 수 있다.

특히, 최근 진도군에서 발생한 예초기 사고 사례는 안전교육의 필요성을 보여준다.

지난여름, 한 농민이 예초기를 사용하던 중 장비 결함으로 인해 손가락 부상을 입는 사고가 발생했으며, 다행히 신속한 응급처치로 큰 부상으로 이어지지 않았다.

군은 이러한 사례를 바탕으로 주민들에게 안전한 사용법과 예방수칙을 교육할 예정이다.

진도군 농업기술센터 관계자는 “추석을 앞두고 예초기 사용이 많아지면서 안전사고 위험도 높아지고 있다”며, “이번 무상 수리와 안전교육을 통해 주민들의 수리비 부담을 덜고, 안전사고 없는 명절을 보내도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.

군은 주민들이 안전하게 예초기를 사용할 수 있도록 현장 중심의 교육과 점검을 강화하고, 사고 예방을 위해 지속적으로 홍보해 나갈 계획이다.

Jindo County Conducts Free Brush Cutter Repairs and Safety Education Ahead of Chuseok
September 16–26, Visiting 7 Townships to Strengthen Accident Prevention
Jindo County will provide free brush cutter repairs and safety education to residents ahead of the upcoming Chuseok holiday, aiming to prevent accidents and enhance convenience for local residents.
The program will take place from September 16 to 26, with visits to all seven townships in Jindo County.
As brush cutter usage increases before the holiday season, accidents have also risen annually. To address this, the county will provide necessary replacement parts and safety equipment free of charge until the budget is exhausted.
With on-site repair and education services, residents can conveniently access support without needing to bring their brush cutters to a central location.
Recent brush cutter accidents in Jindo County highlight the importance of safety education. Last summer, a farmer suffered a finger injury due to equipment malfunction while using a brush cutter. Fortunately, prompt first aid prevented more serious injury. The county will use such cases to educate residents on safe operating practices and preventive measures.
A Jindo County Agricultural Technology Center official stated, “As brush cutter usage increases ahead of Chuseok, the risk of accidents also rises. Through free repairs and safety education, we aim to reduce residents’ repair costs and ensure a safe holiday for all.”
The county plans to continue strengthening hands-on training and inspections to help residents use brush cutters safely and will actively promote accident prevention.
