해남군의회, ‘농업인 교육 지원 및 운영 조례’ 제정

해남군의회(의장 이성옥)는 지난 3일 제346회 임시회에서 「해남군 농업인 교육 지원 및 운영 조례안」을 의결했다.

이성옥 의장이 대표 발의한 이번 조례는 기후변화와 농업 환경 변화에 대응하고, 비전문가의 무지로 발생하는 농기계 사고를 예방하기 위해 제정됐다.

조례는 해남군 농업인과 예비 농업인을 대상으로 장·단기 교육과정을 운영하고 군이 경비를 지원할 수 있도록 했다.

교육 내용은 농축산물 생산성 향상, 유통·가공, 환경 개선, 농기계 사용법 등 전반을 포괄한다.

또한 교육 이수자에게 보조사업 가점 부여, 우수 교육생 시상 등 인센티브도 마련했다.

이성옥 의장은 “이번 조례가 해남 농업의 경쟁력 강화와 농업인 삶의 질 향상에 기여하길 바란다.”고 밝혔다.

Haenam County Council Enacts “Ordinance on Supporting and Operating Farmer Education”
― Responding to Climate Change, Preventing Farm Machinery Accidents, and Building a Safer Agricultural Foundation ―
The Haenam County Council (Chairperson Lee Seong-ok) passed the “Ordinance on Supporting and Operating Farmer Education” during its 346th Extraordinary Session on the 3rd.
Proposed by Chairperson Lee, the ordinance was enacted to address climate change and evolving agricultural environments, while also preventing accidents caused by non-professionals’ lack of knowledge in operating farm machinery.
The ordinance provides for the operation of short- and long-term training programs for farmers and prospective farmers in Haenam, with financial support available from the county.
The curriculum covers a wide range of areas, including improving productivity and safety in agricultural and livestock products, distribution and processing, environmental improvements, and the use of agricultural machinery and materials.
In addition, program participants will be eligible for incentives such as additional points when applying for agricultural subsidies, as well as awards for those who excel in long-term programs or contribute to program operations.
Chairperson Lee stated, “This ordinance will strengthen the competitiveness of Haenam’s agriculture while improving the quality of life for our farmers.”
