해남군, 세계인이 주목하는 LPGA 대회 준비 ‘박차’

해남군이 오는 10월 16일부터 19일까지 화원면 파인비치 골프링크스에서 열리는 ‘2025 LPGA BMW 레이디스 챔피언십’ 개최 준비에 총력을 기울이고 있다.

명현관 해남군수는 10일 산이면 구성리 솔라시도 기업도시에서 현장 보고회를 갖고, 임시주차장 운영, 교통, 관광 등 대회 준비 전반을 점검했다.

이번 대회는 전 세계 170여 개국, 약 5억 7천만 가구에 생중계되며, 주최 측 추산 약 5~6만 명의 관람객이 현장을 방문할 것으로 예상된다.

- 범 군민 준비위원회 구성, 철저한 사전 준비
해남군은 군·군의회·지역 유관기관·사회단체가 참여하는 범 군민 준비위원회를 구성했다.

숙박업소와 음식점 대상 친절·위생 교육을 실시하고, 대회장 인근 문내·산이·화원 3개면 주민 대상 설명회를 개최해 주민 참여와 공감대를 높였다.

대회 기간에는 종합상황실 운영, 응급의료부스 설치, 자원봉사 서비스 제공 등 안전과 편의를 강화한다.

- 교통·주차 대책 강화, 셔틀버스 운행
교통 혼잡을 최소화하기 위해 대회장 인근에 1,920석 규모 임시주차장을 조성했다.

또한 우수영 관광지 500석, 산이면 구성리 산이정원 앞 3,800석 등 임시주차장 3곳을 추가로 마련했다.

16~19일에는 산이정원 앞 임시주차장에서 5분 간격 셔틀버스를 운행하며, 18~19일에는 우수영 관광단지와 해남읍 터미널에서도 셔틀을 추가 운행한다.

- 관광객 대상 이벤트·할인 혜택도 풍성
골프대회 티켓 소지 관광객이 해남 관광지 방문 후 사진·영상 후기를 SNS에 공유하면, 선착순 300명에게 아이스군고구마를 선물로 제공한다.

또한 15일부터 20일까지는 ‘해남까지 왔는데 어딜 가지’ 관광책자를 소지한 관광객에게 유료 관광지 7곳 최대 50% 할인 혜택을 제공한다.

할인 관광지는 세계문화유산 대흥사, 두륜산 케이블카, 두륜산 생태힐링파크, 포레스트수목원, 땅끝해양자연사박물관, 땅끝모노레일, 산이정원, 명량해상케이블카 등이다.

명현관 군수는 “이번 대회를 통해 전 세계에 해남군의 위상을 알리고, 지역경제와 관광 활성화에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대된다.”며,
“대회 성공 개최를 위해 남은 기간까지 준비에 만전을 기하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

Haenam County Accelerates Preparations for LPGA Championship Capturing Global Attention
2025 LPGA BMW Ladies Championship to be Held at Pine Beach Golf Links from October 16–19
County Mayor Myung Hyun-gwan Inspects Traffic, Tourism, and Safety Measures on Site
Haenam County is making full-scale preparations for the 2025 LPGA BMW Ladies Championship, scheduled to take place at Pine Beach Golf Links in Hwaweon-myeon from October 16 to 19.
On October 10, County Mayor Myung Hyun-gwan held an on-site briefing at Solarsido Enterprise City in Sane-myeon to review overall preparations, including temporary parking arrangements, traffic management, and tourism measures.
The tournament will be broadcast live to approximately 570 million households across more than 170 countries, and the organizers estimate that around 50,000–60,000 spectators will attend the event in person.
Comprehensive Preparations Led by a Countywide Committee
Haenam County has established a countywide preparation committee comprising the county office, county council, local organizations, and social groups.
Hospitality and hygiene training has been conducted for local hotels and restaurants, and information sessions were held for residents in the three neighboring areas—Munnye, Sane, and Hwaweon—to encourage community participation and support.
During the tournament, a central control center will operate, along with emergency medical booths and volunteer services to ensure safety and convenience for all visitors.
Traffic and Parking Measures, Shuttle Bus Service
To minimize traffic congestion, a temporary parking lot with 1,920 spaces has been established near the tournament venue.
Additional parking lots include 500 spaces at Usuyeong Tourist Site and 3,800 spaces at Sane Garden in Solarsido Enterprise City, providing ample parking for visitors.
From October 16 to 19, shuttle buses will run every 5 minutes from the Sane Garden parking lot, with additional shuttle services operating from Usuyeong Tourist Complex and Haenam-eup Terminal on October 18–19.
Special Events and Discount Benefits for Tourists
Visitors holding tickets to the golf tournament who share photos or videos of their visit to Haenam tourist sites on social media will receive Haenam’s specialty frozen sweet potatoes (“Ice Gun Sweet Potatoes”) as gifts for the first 300 participants.
From October 15 to 20, tourists presenting the “Where to Go in Haenam” travel booklet will enjoy up to 50% off admission at seven paid tourist attractions.
Discounted attractions include Daehungsa Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Duryunsan Cable Car, Duryunsan Ecological Healing Park, Forest Arboretum, Ttangkkeut Marine Natural History Museum, Ttangkkeut Monorail, Sane Garden, and Myeongnyang Sea Cable Car.
County Mayor Myung Hyun-gwan said,
