진도군은 지난 9월 30일 전 직원을 대상으로 ‘2025년 매니페스토 실천 교육’을 개최하고, 공약 이행을 위한 공직자의 역량 강화에 나섰다.

이날 교육에는 한국매니페스토실천본부 이광재 사무총장이 강사로 참여해 공약 이행 평가의 흐름과 목적, 공약 이행률을 높이는 실천 방안, 주민과의 소통 강화 등 공약 관리에 필요한 경험과 지식을 전했다.

진도군은 다 함께 잘사는 산업, 모두가 행복한 복지, 인재를 키우는 교육, 찾아서 머무는 관광, 군민을 섬기는 행정 등 5대 혁신 분야에서 총 100개의 공약을 추진하고 있다.

9월 말 기준으로 이 가운데 81건은 완료, 19건은 추진 중으로, 공약 완료율은 81%, 추진율은 92%를 기록했다.

공약 추진 상황은 분기별 자체 점검과 진도군 누리집 공개를 통해 투명하게 관리하고 있으며, 군민으로 구성된 ‘공약이행 평가단’을 운영해 민주성과 신뢰성을 높이고 있다.

김희수 진도군수는 “공약은 반드시 지켜야 할 군민과의 약속이자 행정의 첫 발걸음”이라며, “남은 민선 8기 기간 동안 모든 공약이 성실히 이행되도록 최선을 다하고, 군민이 체감할 수 있는 변화를 만들어 나가겠다.”고 밝혔다.

한편, 진도군은 한국매니페스토실천본부가 주관한 ‘전국기초단체장 공약이행평가’에서 2024년에 이어 2025년에도 우수(A) 등급을 획득하며 대외적으로 성과를 인정받았다.

Jindo County Holds 2025 Manifesto Implementation TrainingStrengthening Public Officials’ Capacity to Fulfill Pledges
Jindo County held the “2025 Manifesto Implementation Training” for all staff on September 30, aiming to enhance public officials’ capacity to carry out campaign pledges.
The training was led by Lee Kwang-jae, Secretary General of the Korea Manifesto Implementation Center, who shared his expertise on the flow and purpose of pledge evaluation, practical methods to improve pledge fulfillment rates, and strategies to strengthen communication with residents.
Jindo County is promoting a total of 100 pledges across five major innovation areas: “Industries for Shared Prosperity,” “Welfare for All,” “Education to Nurture Talent,” “Tourism that Attracts Visitors,” and “Administration Serving Residents.”
As of the end of September, 81 of these pledges have been completed, and 19 are in progress, resulting in a completion rate of 81% and an overall implementation rate of 92%.
The county monitors pledge progress quarterly and publishes updates on its official website to ensure transparency. In addition, a “Pledge Implementation Evaluation Committee” composed of local residents is operated to enhance democratic accountability and public trust.
Mayor Hee-Soo Kim stated, “Pledges are promises to our residents and the first steps in administration. During the remaining period of the 8th local government term, we will do our utmost to ensure all pledges are faithfully fulfilled and bring changes that residents can directly experience.”
Meanwhile, Jindo County was awarded an Excellent (A) grade in the “National Local Government Pledge Implementation Evaluation” organized by the Korea Manifesto Implementation Center, following its recognition in 2024, further affirming its achievements externally.
