농어촌수도 해남, 소농들이 일군 200억 매출의 기적

2020년 임시 매장으로 시작해 현재 652농가, 801품목을 갖춘 직매장은 120억원, 공공급식센터는 80억 원의 매출을 올렸다.

대도시 인근이 아닌 불리한 지리적 여건에도 중·소농과 함께 ‘농어촌 수도 해남’ 비전을 실현하며 지역 먹거리 선순환 체계를 구축한 성과다.

45만 명의 소비자가 직매장을 이용했으며, 어린이집·학교 56개소, 해남교도소, 대한조선, 롯데아울렛 등으로 공급 망을 확대했다.

해남군은 제2차 지역먹거리계획을 통해 급식물류센터 건립, 농가 조직 고도화, 광역 지자체 MOU, 로컬푸드 군수 인증제 활성화, 취약계층 먹거리 보장 등 정책을 추진할 예정이다.

명현관 해남군수는 “짧은 기간에 달성한 200억원 매출은 중소농들의 경쟁력을 입증한 결과”라며, “청정 먹거리 생산·판매를 통해 대한민국 식량안보와 국민 안전 먹거리를 책임지겠다.”고 말했다.

Haenam, the Rural Capital, Achieves 20 Billion KRW in Sales through Small Farmers’ Efforts
Haenam County’s local food direct sales stores and Public School Meal Support Center have achieved cumulative sales of 20 billion KRW, demonstrating the competitiveness of the region’s agriculture.
Starting as a temporary store in 2020, the direct sales store now hosts 652 farms and 801 products, generating 12 billion KRW in sales, while the Public School Meal Support Center has recorded 8 billion KRW.
Despite geographic disadvantages with no nearby metropolitan areas, Haenam has realized its vision as the “Rural Capital” by establishing a virtuous cycle for local food in collaboration with small and medium-sized farmers.
The direct sales store has served 450,000 consumers, while the supply network has expanded to 56 daycare centers and schools, Haenam Prison, Daehan Shipbuilding, Lotte Outlet, and areas in Suncheon and Jindo.
Haenam County plans to implement the 2nd Local Food Plan, including constructing a meal logistics center, strengthening farm organization and planning, signing MOUs with metropolitan governments to expand supply chains, promoting the Local Food County Mayor Certification Program, and establishing a food security system for vulnerable groups.
