6개월간의 내진보강공사를 마친 해남 문내파출소가 새롭게 문을 열고 주민과 함께하는 공동체 치안 강화에 나섰다.

해남경찰서(서장 박미영)는 지난 10일 문내파출소 내진보강공사를 완료하고 지역 주민들과 함께 개소식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 개소식에는 오광일 문내면장, 김성일 전남광주특별시의회 의원, 이정남 문내생활안전협의회장, 김대희 해남군자율방범대장을 비롯한 지역 주민 40여 명이 참석해 문내파출소의 새로운 출발을 축하했다.
특히 해남경찰서는 공사가 진행된 6개월 동안 임시사무실 제공 등에 협조해 치안 공백을 최소화하고 공동체 치안 활성화에 기여한 주민들에게 감사의 뜻을 전했다.

조인현 문내생활안전협의회원과 이희옥 고당리 부녀회장, 정도군 문내면 이장단장, 김서용 고당리 이장 등 주민 4명에게 해남경찰서장 감사장이 전달됐다.

박미영 해남경찰서장은 이날 ‘줄탁동시(啐啄同時)’의 의미를 강조했다.
줄탁동시는 병아리가 알에서 나오기 위해 안에서 껍질을 쪼고, 어미 닭이 밖에서 동시에 껍질을 쪼아 깨뜨리는 것처럼 서로 힘을 모아야 일을 이룰 수 있다는 의미를 담고 있다.

박 서장은 이를 경찰과 주민이 함께 만들어가는 공동체 치안에 빗대어 “지역의 안전을 위해 경찰과 주민들이 협력하자”고 강조했다.

이어 “단순히 범죄를 예방하는 1차원적인 치안을 넘어 어르신들의 안전한 일상과 사회적 약자를 보호하기 위해 정성을 다하는 치안서비스를 제공하는 데 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

이번 내진보강공사 완료로 문내파출소의 시설 안전성이 한층 강화된 가운데, 경찰과 주민 간 협력을 기반으로 한 생활밀착형 공동체 치안도 더욱 강화될 것으로 기대된다.

After six months of seismic reinforcement work, the Munnae Police Substation in Haenam has reopened with improved facilities and a renewed commitment to community-oriented policing in cooperation with local residents.
The Haenam Police Station, headed by Chief Park Mi-young, announced that it held a reopening ceremony on September 10 after successfully completing seismic reinforcement work at the Munnae Police Substation.
Around 40 local residents and community representatives attended the ceremony, including Munnae-myeon Mayor Oh Gwang-il, Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan Council member Kim Seong-il, Munnae Community Safety Council Chairman Lee Jeong-nam, and Haenam County Autonomous Crime Prevention Patrol Chief Kim Dae-hee.
The event celebrated the reopening of the police substation and highlighted the cooperation between the police and the local community throughout the six-month construction period.
Haenam Police Station also expressed its appreciation to residents who helped minimize disruptions to local policing, including by providing temporary office space and supporting community safety efforts during the construction period.
Four residents—Jo In-hyeon, a member of the Munnae Community Safety Council; Lee Hee-ok, head of the Godang-ri Women’s Association; Jeong Do-gun, head of the Munnae-myeon Village Leaders Association; and Kim Seo-yong, head of Godang-ri village—received certificates of appreciation from the chief of Haenam Police Station.
During the ceremony, Chief Park Mi-young emphasized the meaning of the Korean expression “Jultakdongsi” (啐啄同時).
The expression refers to the moment when a chick pecks at its eggshell from the inside while the mother hen simultaneously pecks from the outside, symbolizing how cooperation and coordinated effort are essential to achieving a shared goal.
Chief Park compared this principle to community policing, in which police officers and residents work together to keep their neighborhoods safe.
“Police and residents must work together to ensure the safety of our community,” Park said.
She added, “We will do our utmost to provide attentive and compassionate policing services that go beyond basic crime prevention, ensuring the safety of senior citizens in their daily lives and protecting socially vulnerable members of our community.”
With the completion of the seismic reinforcement project, the Munnae Police Substation is now better equipped to ensure structural safety. The reopening is also expected to further strengthen community-oriented policing based on close cooperation between the police and local residents.
