해남교육지원청이 농어촌 학생들의 문화예술 향유 기회를 확대하고 창의성과 공감 능력 등 미래 핵심역량을 키우기 위해 ‘학교로 찾아가는 문화·예술체험’ 프로그램을 운영한다.

해남교육지원청은 지난 21일부터 오는 12월까지 프로그램 참여를 신청한 관내 6개 초등학교를 대상으로 참여형 국악 공연과 전통놀이 체험을 진행한다고 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 생태·환경교육과 학교폭력 예방교육을 주제로 한 전통창작마당극과 버나줄타기, 강강술래 등 다양한 전통놀이 체험으로 구성됐다.

학생들은 공연을 관람하는 데 그치지 않고 배우들과 직접 소통하고 전통놀이에 참여하며 환경보호의 중요성과 학교폭력 예방의 의미를 자연스럽게 배우게 된다.

‘생태·환경 공연’은 학생들의 눈높이에 맞춘 이야기와 국악, 마당극을 통해 기후변화와 쓰레기 문제 등 생활 속 환경문제를 돌아보도록 구성됐다.

특히 학생들이 공연에 직접 참여하면서 환경문제에 대한 공감대를 형성하고, 분리배출과 일회용품 줄이기 등 일상에서 실천할 수 있는 환경보호 방법을 자연스럽게 익힐 수 있도록 했다.

‘학교폭력 예방 공연’은 학교 안팎에서 발생할 수 있는 갈등과 폭력 상황을 소재로 다룬다.

학교폭력을 외면하거나 방관하지 않는 작은 용기가 친구를 보호하고 학교 문화를 바꾸는 큰 힘이 될 수 있다는 메시지를 전달하며 학생들의 공감과 참여를 이끌어낼 예정이다.

버나줄타기와 강강술래 등 전통놀이 체험은 학생들이 서로 호흡을 맞추고 함께 과제를 해결하는 과정에서 협동심과 공동체 의식을 기를 수 있도록 운영된다.

해남교육지원청은 AI시대에 더욱 중요해지는 인간의 창의성과 공감 능력을 키우기 위해 ‘인간다움·미래다움이 공존하는 해남다움’을 바탕으로 문화예술교육을 지속적으로 확대하고 있다.

해남교육지원청 관계자는 “이번 프로그램이 농어촌 학생들의 문화예술 접근성을 높이고 학교와 지역이 함께하는 교육환경을 조성하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대한다.”고 말했다.

이어 “앞으로도 학생들이 다양한 문화예술을 경험하며 창의성과 공감 능력, 미래 역량을 키울 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

The Haenam Office of Education has launched a school-based cultural and arts experience program aimed at expanding access to arts and culture for students in rural and fishing communities while fostering future-oriented skills such as creativity and empathy.
The office announced that the “Cultural and Arts Experience Program Visiting Schools” will be held from July 21 through December at six elementary schools in the district that applied to participate.
The program consists of interactive traditional Korean music performances and traditional games centered on ecology, environmental education and the prevention of school violence.
Rather than simply watching the performances, students will communicate directly with performers and take part in traditional activities, allowing them to learn naturally about the importance of environmental protection and school violence prevention.
The ecology and environmental performance uses age-appropriate storytelling, traditional Korean music and outdoor-style theater to encourage students to reflect on everyday environmental issues such as climate change and waste.
By taking part in the performance, students will build a shared understanding of environmental concerns and learn practical ways to protect the environment in daily life, including proper waste separation and reducing the use of disposable products.
The school violence prevention performance portrays conflicts and violent situations that may occur both inside and outside school.
It delivers the message that even a small act of courage to speak up rather than ignore or stand by during school violence can protect a friend and bring meaningful change to the school community.
Traditional activities such as beona spinning and Ganggangsullae are designed to help students develop teamwork and a sense of community by coordinating with one another and completing shared tasks.
The Haenam Office of Education has continued to expand arts and cultural education based on its vision of “Haenam’s identity, where human values and future-oriented learning coexist,” with the goal of cultivating creativity and empathy, which are becoming increasingly important in the era of artificial intelligence.
An official from the Haenam Office of Education said, “We expect this program to improve access to arts and culture for students in rural communities and contribute to creating an educational environment in which schools and local communities work together.”
The official added, “We will continue to actively support students so they can experience a wide range of cultural and artistic activities and develop creativity, empathy and the skills needed for the future.”
