기후에너지환경부 산하 국립호남권생물자원관(관장 박진영)은 섬·연안 생물자원을 활용한 체류형 생태교육 프로그램 ‘1박2일 섬스럽게’ 참가자를 오는 7월 7일까지 모집한다고 밝혔다.

‘1박2일 섬스럽게’는 섬의 생태환경과 생물자원을 활용한 현장 중심 교육프로그램으로, 참가자들이 섬 고유의 자연환경과 생물다양성을 직접 체험하며 이해할 수 있도록 마련됐다.

프로그램은 오는 7월 11일 자은도와 8월 22일 비금도·도초도에서 각각 진행된다.

참가자들은 ▲갯벌 생물자원 탐사 ▲요트 투어 ▲어류 탐사 ▲섬 명소 관람 ▲별자리 관측 등 다양한 체험활동에 참여하며 섬 생태계와 생물다양성의 가치를 현장에서 직접 배울 수 있다.

모집 대상은 초등학생 자녀를 동반한 3인 이상 가족 단위이며 모집 인원은 회차별 총 25명 이내로 선착순 접수한다.
참가비는 초등학생 1인당 10만 원, 초등학생을 제외한 동반 가족(중학생 이상)은 1인당 12만 원이다.

참가 신청은 국립호남권생물자원관 통합예약시스템을 통해 온라인으로 가능하며, 세부 일정과 준비사항은 자원관 누리집 공지사항에서 확인할 수 있다.

한편 지난해 운영된 ‘1박2일 섬스럽게’는 섬 생물자원을 활용한 현장 중심 교육으로 참가자들의 큰 호응을 얻었으며, 섬의 생태·문화·자원을 연계한 특화 교육프로그램으로서 우수성을 인정받아 유네스코 지속가능발전교육(ESD) 공식 프로젝트 인증을 획득했다.

박진영 관장은 “1박2일 섬스럽게를 통해 참가자들이 섬 생물자원의 가치와 생물다양성의 중요성을 쉽고 흥미롭게 이해할 수 있기를 기대한다.”며 “앞으로도 섬·연안 생물자원을 활용한 다양한 교육프로그램을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다.”고 말했다.

The National Marine Biodiversity Institute of Korea (HNIBR), an affiliated organization of the Ministry of Climate and Environment and headed by President Park Jin-young, announced that it is accepting applications until July 7 for its experiential ecological education program, “Island Life for 2 Days and 1 Night,” which utilizes the biological resources of Korea’s islands and coastal areas.
The program is designed as a field-oriented educational experience that allows participants to directly explore and understand the unique natural environments and biodiversity of Korea’s islands through hands-on activities.
The program will be held on Jaeun Island in Shinan County on July 11 and on Bigeum and Dochodo Islands on August 22.
Participants will take part in a variety of activities, including mudflat biological resource exploration, yacht tours, fish species observation, visits to island attractions, and stargazing sessions, providing opportunities to learn firsthand about island ecosystems and the importance of biodiversity.
Applications are open to families of three or more members accompanied by elementary school-aged children. Participation is limited to 25 people per session and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Participation fees are KRW 100,000 per elementary school student and KRW 120,000 per accompanying family member aged middle school and above.
Applications can be submitted online through the HNIBR Integrated Reservation System, while detailed schedules and preparation guidelines are available on the institute’s official website.
Meanwhile, last year’s “Island Life for 2 Days and 1 Night” program received enthusiastic responses from participants for its immersive, field-based learning experiences centered on island biological resources. The program was also recognized for its excellence in integrating island ecology, culture, and natural resources, earning official certification as a UNESCO Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Project.
“Through this program, we hope participants will gain a deeper and more enjoyable understanding of the value of island biological resources and the importance of biodiversity,” said Park Jin-young, President of HNIBR. “We will continue to expand educational programs that make use of the rich biological resources of Korea’s islands and coastal regions.”
