전라남도가 행정안전부의 ‘2026년 우수·모두애(愛) 마을기업’ 공모에서 해남햇살영농조합법인이 우수 마을기업으로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

이번 공모에서는 전국적으로 모두애 마을기업 5개소와 우수 마을기업 9개소가 선정됐으며, 전남에서는 해남햇살영농조합법인과 순천고들빼기영농조합법인이 이름을 올렸다.

우수 마을기업은 공공성과 공익적 가치가 높은 공동체 기업을 대상으로 지역 문제 해결과 지역사회 기여 성과 등을 종합 평가해 선정한다. 선정 기업에는 최대 7천만 원의 추가 사업비가 지원된다.

해남 황산면에 위치한 해남햇살영농조합법인(대표 김상석)은 지난 2019년 설립 이후 지역 청년농업인과의 공동경작 체계를 구축하며 해남 농산물의 전국 유통·판매망 확대에 힘써왔다.

특히 온라인 밴드 운영과 부녀회 직거래 판매 등 다양한 유통 방식을 도입해 기존 농산물 유통 구조 개선에 나섰으며, 홍감자와 공심채 등 생산 품목을 다변화해 시장 경쟁력을 높여왔다는 평가를 받고 있다.

또한 청년 조합원 수가 2021년 12명에서 2025년 45명으로 크게 증가하면서 농촌 고령화와 지역소멸 위기 속에서 청년농업인 중심의 새로운 농촌 공동체 모델을 제시하고 있다는 점도 높은 평가를 받았다.

함께 선정된 모두애 마을기업은 지역경제 활성화와 브랜드 경쟁력을 인정받은 최고 단계의 마을기업이다. 선정 기업에는 최대 1억 원의 추가 사업비가 지원된다.

순천고들빼기영농조합(대표 유성진)은 순천 별량면을 기반으로 지역 특산물인 고들빼기를 활용한 김치와 세안제 등 다양한 제품을 개발·판매하고 있으며, 안정적인 로컬푸드 유통망 구축과 꾸준한 매출 성장 성과를 인정받아 모두애 마을기업에 선정됐다.

전라남도는 마을기업 성장 가능성이 있는 공동체 기업을 대상으로 맞춤형 컨설팅과 전남형 예비마을기업 육성사업 등을 추진하며 단계별 성장 기반 마련에 나서고 있다.

이를 바탕으로 전남은 2026년 행정안전부 신규·재지정·고도화 마을기업 16개소 선정에 이어 우수·모두애 마을기업 분야에서도 전국 최다 선정 성과를 이어가게 됐다.

선준식 전남도 일자리경제과장은 “지역 자원을 활용한 공동체 중심 경제활동과 주민 참여 확대 노력이 좋은 성과로 이어졌다.”며 “우수 사례를 지속적으로 발굴·확산하고 마을기업이 안정적으로 성장하도록 적극 지원하겠다.”고 말했다.

“Haenam’s Young Farmer Model Gains National Attention”… Haenam Haetsal Agricultural Cooperative Named ‘Outstanding Village Enterprise’ by Ministry of the Interior and Safety
Recognized for Joint Farming and Direct Distribution Innovation… Secures Up to KRW 70 Million in Additional Support
Jeollanam-do Province announced that Haenam Haetsal Agricultural Cooperative Corporation has been selected as an Outstanding Village Enterprise in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s 2026 Outstanding and Modooae (愛) Village Enterprise competition.
In this year’s competition, five Modooae Village Enterprises and nine Outstanding Village Enterprises were selected nationwide. From Jeollanam-do, Haenam Haetsal Agricultural Cooperative and Suncheon Godeulppaegi Agricultural Cooperative were chosen.
Outstanding Village Enterprises are community-based businesses recognized for high levels of public interest and social value. The selection evaluates contributions to solving local issues and strengthening communities, with selected enterprises eligible for up to KRW 70 million in additional project funding.
Located in Hwangsan-myeon, Haenam, Haenam Haetsal Agricultural Cooperative (CEO Kim Sang-seok) has worked since its establishment in 2019 to build nationwide distribution and sales networks for local agricultural products through cooperative farming with young local farmers.
The cooperative has introduced various distribution methods, including online band communities and direct sales through local women’s associations, improving conventional agricultural distribution systems. It has also diversified production items such as red potatoes and water spinach, enhancing market competitiveness.
The number of young cooperative members increased significantly from 12 in 2021 to 45 in 2025, earning recognition as a new rural community model led by young farmers amid challenges such as rural aging and regional population decline.
Meanwhile, Modooae Village Enterprises represent the highest level among village enterprise categories, recognized for strong sales performance and outstanding brand competitiveness contributing to regional economic revitalization. Selected enterprises can receive up to KRW 100 million in additional support funding.
Suncheon Godeulppaegi Agricultural Cooperative (CEO Yoo Seong-jin), based in Byeollyang-myeon, Suncheon, has developed and marketed various products including kimchi and skincare cleansers using the region’s specialty crop, godeulppaegi (Korean wild lettuce). The cooperative was selected as a Modooae Village Enterprise for its stable local food distribution network and continuous sales growth.
Jeollanam-do is also supporting the systematic growth of village enterprises through customized consulting and the discovery and nurturing of Jeonnam-style preliminary village enterprises with strong development potential.
Based on these efforts, Jeollanam-do achieved the nation’s highest number of selections not only in the Outstanding and Modooae Village Enterprise categories, but also with 16 enterprises designated in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s 2026 new, renewed, and advanced village enterprise programs.
Sun Jun-sik, Director of the Job and Economy Division of Jeollanam-do, said, “The efforts to expand resident participation and promote community-centered economic activities utilizing local resources have led to meaningful achievements,” adding, “We will continue discovering and spreading best practices while actively supporting the stable growth of village enterprises.”
