이제 결선입니다. 더 낮게, 더 겸손하게, 오직 시·도민 여러분만 바라보며 최선을 다하겠습니다.
약속드립니다. 결선의 길이 아무리 치열해도, 상대 후보를 흠집 내거나 깎아내리는 일은 없을 것입니다. 없는 사실을 꾸며 공격하거나, 근거 없이 상처를 내 표를 얻는 비방의 정치로는 가지 않겠습니다.
오직 전남·광주 통합의 미래를 놓고, 비전과 실력으로 정정당당하게 경쟁하겠습니다. 그것이 저를 믿어주신 분들에 대한 예의이자, 호남 정치가 지켜야 할 품격이라고 믿습니다.
함께 치열하게 달려오신 신정훈 후보님께도 깊은 위로와 존경의 말씀을 전합니다. 신정훈 후보님께서 경선 내내 보여주신 통합특별시에 대한 깊고도 전문적인 식견, 사회적 약자에 대한 남다른 관심과 애정은 제게도 큰 울림이었습니다.
지역을 보는 따뜻한 시선, 삶의 가장 낮은 곳을 놓치지 않는 정치는 전남·광주에 꼭 필요한 가치입니다. 신정훈 후보님의 문제의식과 비전, 소중한 제안들을 제가 잘 이어받겠습니다. 통합특별시의 길에 소중히 녹여내겠습니다.
특별시민 여러분, 다시 한번 고맙습니다.
승리의 그날까지 흔들림 없이, 그러나 가장 낮은 자세로 뛰겠습니다. 더 큰 통합, 더 강한 전남·광주로 힘차게 나아가겠습니다.

With your overwhelming support and encouragement, you have carried me, Min Hyung-bae, into the runoff. I sincerely thank you. I accept this with a deep sense of responsibility and engrave it firmly in my heart.
Now, we move to the runoff. I will go even lower, remain even more humble, and do my utmost with my eyes fixed solely on the citizens of our city and province.
I promise you this: no matter how fierce the runoff may become, I will not resort to attacking or undermining my opponent. I will not fabricate falsehoods or engage in baseless slander to win votes. I will not take the path of negative politics.
Instead, I will compete fairly and honorably—based on vision and competence—for the future of a unified Jeonnam–Gwangju. That is the respect I owe to those who have placed their trust in me, and it is the dignity that politics in Honam must uphold.
I also extend my deepest consolation and respect to Candidate Shin Jeong-hoon, who has run this race with dedication. His profound insight into the integrated metropolitan vision and his sincere concern and compassion for the socially vulnerable have deeply resonated with me.
His warm perspective on our region and his commitment to not overlooking those at the lowest levels of society are values that Jeonnam and Gwangju truly need. I will carry forward his awareness, vision, and valuable proposals, and thoughtfully incorporate them into the path toward our integrated metropolitan future.
Dear citizens of the special city, once again, thank you.
Until the day of victory, I will run with unwavering determination—yet with the lowest posture. Together, we will move forward toward greater unity and a stronger Jeonnam–Gwangju.
