출산과 육아로 경력이 단절된 여성들의 사회 복귀를 돕기 위해 전라남도가 재취업 지원에 나섰다.
전라남도는 출산과 육아 등으로 직장을 그만둔 뒤 재취업을 준비하는 경력단절 여성을 대상으로 ‘경력이음바우처’ 이용자를 모집한다고 밝혔다.
경력이음바우처는 재취업을 준비하는 여성들에게 취업·면접 준비 비용 50만 원을 지원하는 제도로, 경력 단절 이후 구직 활동에 필요한 실질적인 비용 부담을 덜어주기 위해 마련됐다.
신청 대상은 신청일 기준 전라남도에 1년 이상 주소를 두고 취업 지원기관에 구직 등록을 한 30세부터 65세까지(1961년~1995년 출생)의 경력단절 여성이다.
또한 가구 소득이 기준 중위소득 150% 이하여야 한다.
다만 고용노동부의 구직촉진수당이나 취업활동비용 지원 등 유사 복지서비스 수혜자, 실업급여 수급자, 여성농업인 등은 지원 대상에서 제외된다.
신청을 희망하는 여성은 4월 3일까지 주민등록상 주소지 읍면동 행정복지센터를 방문해 접수하면 된다.
선정된 대상자는 해당 시군 농협은행 지부에서 경력이음바우처 카드를 발급받아 사용할 수 있다.
지원금은 올해 말까지 취업 준비 도서 구입, 자격증 강좌 수강, 면접 준비 비용 등 재취업 관련 활동에 사용할 수 있다.
전라남도는 이번 사업이 경력 단절 여성의 경제 활동 참여 확대와 지역 노동시장 활성화에 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
유미자 전라남도 여성가족정책관은 “출산과 육아로 잠시 일을 멈춘 여성들이 다시 사회로 나아갈 수 있도록 구직 활동을 적극 지원하겠다.”며 “앞으로도 전남 여성의 경제활동 참여율을 높이기 위한 다양한 정책을 추진하겠다.”고 말했다.
한편 전라남도는 경력단절 여성의 재취업 지원을 위해 직업교육, 취업 연계 프로그램 등 다양한 맞춤형 지원 정책을 확대하고 있다.

Jeollanam-do Province has launched a program to support women whose careers were interrupted due to childbirth and childcare, helping them return to the workforce.
The provincial government announced that it is recruiting applicants for the “Career Continuation Voucher” program aimed at women seeking reemployment after leaving their jobs for family responsibilities.
The voucher provides ₩500,000 to cover job-seeking and interview preparation expenses, easing the financial burden often faced by women attempting to reenter the labor market after a career break.
Eligible applicants must be women aged 30 to 65 (born between 1961 and 1995) who have registered as job seekers with an employment support agency and have maintained a resident address in Jeonnam for at least one year as of the application date.
Applicants must also belong to households with an income below 150% of the national median income.
However, women who are already receiving similar benefits—such as the Employment Promotion Allowance or job-seeking activity support from the Ministry of Employment and Labor, unemployment benefits, or those classified as women farmers—are not eligible for the program.
Those wishing to apply must visit the administrative welfare center (eup, myeon, or dong office) in their registered residential area and submit their application by April 3.
Selected applicants will receive a Career Continuation Voucher card issued through the local branch of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NongHyup Bank) in their city or county.
The voucher can be used until the end of the year for employment preparation activities such as purchasing job-related books, taking certification courses, and covering interview preparation expenses.
Jeollanam-do expects the program to help expand women’s participation in economic activities while also contributing to the revitalization of the regional labor market.
Yoo Mi-ja, Director of Women and Family Policy at Jeollanam-do, said,
“We hope this support will help women who paused their careers due to childbirth and childcare return to society and continue their professional journeys. We will continue to strengthen policies that expand women’s participation in economic activities across the province.”
Meanwhile, Jeollanam-do is expanding various tailored support programs—including vocational training and employment linkage services—to assist women returning to work after career interruptions.
