해남소방서(서장 박춘천)는 이승식 북평면 의용소방대장이 3년째 이어가고 있는 따뜻한 나눔을 알렸다.
이승식 대장은 지난 10일, 지난해에 이어 올해도 북평면에 100만원을 기탁하며 “해마다 지역을 위해 쓰고 싶다”던 2023년의 약속을 변함없이 지켜냈다.
이번 기부가 더욱 값진 이유는, 단순한 성금이 아니라 대장이 직접 꾸준히 펼쳐온 환경정화 활동을 통해 수거한 폐농약병을 판매한 수익금으로 마련한 것이기 때문이다.
지역 곳곳을 돌며 깨끗한 환경을 만드는 손길이, 다시 이웃을 돕는 온기로 돌아오는 ‘선순환의 기적’이 된 셈이다.
소중한 기탁금은 북평면의 어려운 이웃들을 위한 복지사업에 사용될 예정이다.
박춘천 해남소방서장은 “지역을 위해 묵묵히 실천해 온 모범적 기부에 깊은 감사를 드린다.”며 “이승식 대장의 선행이 해남 전역에 선한 영향력으로 널리 퍼지기를 기대한다.”고 밝혔다.

Haenam Bukpyeong Volunteer Fire Brigade Chief Lee Seung-sik Donates 1 Million Won for the Third Consecutive Year
Haenam Fire Station (Chief Park Chun-cheon) announced that Lee Seung-sik, Chief of the Bukpyeong Volunteer Fire Brigade, has continued his heartfelt donations for the third consecutive year.
On the 10th, Chief Lee donated 1 million won to Bukpyeong-myeon, keeping the promise he made in 2023 to “give back to the community every year.”
What makes this donation even more meaningful is that it was not a simple monetary contribution. The funds were raised through the sale of discarded pesticide containers that Chief Lee personally collected during his ongoing environmental cleanup efforts.
His hands, which have tirelessly worked to keep the community clean, have once again returned as warmth for neighbors in need—creating a true “cycle of goodwill.”
The valuable donation will be used to support welfare programs for vulnerable residents in Bukpyeong-myeon.
Haenam Fire Chief Park Chun-cheon expressed his gratitude, saying,
“We sincerely appreciate Chief Lee’s exemplary commitment to the community,” and added,
“We hope his good deeds will continue to spread positive influence throughout Haenam.”
