진도군은 지난 10일, 진도농협과 해남농협이 함께한 ‘고향사랑기부금 상호기부 전달식’을 열고, 두 지역이 서로를 응원하며 건넨 따뜻한 정을 나눴다고 밝혔다.
진도농협은 지난해 해남미남축제 기간 해남군에 500만 원의 고향사랑기부금을 전달한 데 이어, 이번에는 해남농협이 진도군에 500만 원을 기부하며 따뜻한 마음을 되돌려 주었다.
단순한 기부를 넘어, 같은 농업 현장을 지켜온 이웃 지역이 서로를 격려하며 보여준 상생의 메시지가 지역사회에 큰 울림을 주고 있다.
전달식에는 노춘성 진도농협 조합장과 장승영 해남농협 조합장, 농협 관계자 등이 참석해 고향을 향한 애정과 지역 발전에 대한 굳은 의지를 함께 다졌다.
노춘성 조합장과 장승영 조합장은 “진도와 해남이 서로를 향해 건네는 응원이 지역사회에 큰 희망으로 전해지길 바란다.”며, “앞으로도 두 지역이 서로의 든든한 이웃이 되기 위해 계속 협력하겠다.”고 뜻을 모았다.
김희수 진도군수는 “두 농협이 보여준 따뜻한 나눔은 지역 주민과 농업인들에게 큰 힘이 된다.”며 “이번 상호 기부가 고향사랑의 가치를 널리 알리고, 지역 발전의 소중한 마중물이 되길 기대한다.”고 감사의 뜻을 전했다.
한편, 이날 기탁된 기부금은 사회적 취약계층 지원, 지역공동체 활성화, 농업·농촌 복지 확대 등 군민 삶의 질 향상을 위해 소중히 사용될 예정이다.
지역이 서로에게 건네는 한 줌의 온정이 모여 더 큰 희망을 만드는 현장, 이번 상호 기부는 ‘함께 사는 지역’이 무엇인지 보여준 가장 따뜻한 실천이었다.

On the 10th, Jindo County announced that Jindo Agricultural Cooperative (Nonghyup) and Haenam Agricultural Cooperative held a “Mutual Hometown Love Donation Ceremony”, sharing warm support and goodwill between the two neighboring regions.
Last year, Jindo Agricultural Cooperative donated 5 million won in hometown love funds to Haenam County during the Haenam Minam Festival. This year, Haenam Agricultural Cooperative returned that goodwill by donating 5 million won to Jindo County—an exchange of sincere generosity that reflects the deep respect the two cooperatives hold for each other's communities.
Beyond the financial contribution, this gesture represents a powerful message of solidarity, as two agricultural communities that have long shared similar challenges and aspirations continue to uplift one another. The act has resonated widely across the region.
The ceremony was attended by Jindo Nonghyup President Noh Chun-seong, Haenam Nonghyup President Jang Seung-young, and other officials, reaffirming their affection for their hometowns and their commitment to regional development.
President Noh and President Jang remarked,
“We hope the encouragement Jindo and Haenam exchange with each other will bring great hope to our regional communities. We will continue to work together as reliable neighbors moving forward.”
Jindo County Mayor Kim Hee-su expressed his appreciation, saying,
“The warm generosity shown by the two cooperatives is a tremendous strength to our residents and farmers. We hope this mutual donation will broaden the value of hometown love and serve as a meaningful driving force for regional development.”
The donated funds will be used to support vulnerable groups, revitalize local communities, and enhance welfare for farmers and rural residents.
