완도군이 오는 10월 22일부터 11월 18일까지 관내 상주하는 모든 내·외국인과 거처를 대상으로 ‘2025 인구주택총조사’를 실시한다.
인구주택총조사는 5년마다 실시되는 국가 기본 통계조사로, 우리나라 모든 사람과 주택의 규모 및 특성을 파악하여 사회·경제적 변화상을 분석하고, 국가와 지방자치단체의 정책 수립에 활용되는 중요한 기초 자료로 쓰인다.
완도군에서는 전체 가구의 20%에 해당하는 6,573가구를 표본으로 선정해 국적, 종교, 교육 수준, 가구 내 사용 언어, 혼인 상태, 가족 돌봄 시간 등 55개 항목을 조사한다.
조사 방법은 주민의 편의와 조사 효율성을 높이기 위해 10월 31일까지 인터넷·모바일·전화 등 비대면 방식으로 우선 진행되며, 비대면 조사에 참여하지 않은 가구는 이후 조사원이 직접 방문해 면접 조사를 실시할 예정이다.
군은 안전하고 신뢰성 있는 조사를 위해 지난 10월 14일부터 15일까지 양일간 조사원 40명을 대상으로 조사 방법과 안전 관리 지침에 대한 사전 교육을 완료했다.
군 관계자는 “인구주택총조사는 완도군의 정책 수립과 발전 전략 마련에 꼭 필요한 기반 자료가 되는 만큼 군민 여러분의 적극적인 참여와 정확한 응답을 부탁드린다.”고 당부했다.

**Wando-gun Conducts 2025 Population and Housing Census Until November 18**
**– Survey of 6,573 Households on Nationality, Religion, Education Level, Family Care Time, and 55 Other Items –**
Wando-gun will conduct the **2025 Population and Housing Census** from **October 22 to November 18**, targeting all residents, both Korean and foreign, as well as all dwellings within the county.
The Population and Housing Census is a **nationwide basic statistical survey conducted every five years** to identify the size and characteristics of the population and housing. The data serve as essential resources for understanding social and economic trends and for establishing national and local government policies.
In Wando-gun, a sample of **6,573 households**, equivalent to **20% of all households**, will be surveyed on 55 items, including **nationality, religion, education level, language used at home, marital status, and family care time**.
To enhance convenience and efficiency, the census will first be conducted **non-face-to-face** through **online, mobile, and telephone surveys** until **October 31**. For households that do not participate remotely, enumerators will later visit in person to complete the survey.
To ensure a safe and reliable process, the county **trained 40 enumerators** on survey methods and safety management guidelines during a two-day session held from **October 14 to 15**.
A county official stated, “The Population and Housing Census provides vital data that form the foundation for Wando-gun’s policy planning and development strategies. We kindly ask all residents to participate actively and provide accurate responses.”
