전라남도 해남군에서 매년 가을을 수놓는 ‘해남 미남축제’가 올해는 10월 31일부터 11월 2일까지 유네스코 세계문화유산 대흥사 관광단지에서 열린다.

축제는 고무마체험존, 김체험존, 대표먹거리 공간, 대동퍼포먼스, 체험·판매·공연, 특별행사, 부대행사 순서로 진행되며, 해남의 역사와 문화, 맛과 체험을 동시에 즐길 수 있는 기회를 제공한다.

이번 축제는 가을철 관광 성수기와 맞물려 지역 경제 활성화에도 크게 기여할 전망이다.

2024년 통계에 따르면, 해남군을 방문한 관광객 중 약 37%가 체험형 축제를 목적으로 방문하며, 지역 음식점과 숙박업소 매출은 축제 기간 평균 23% 증가하는 것으로 나타났다.

특히, 10월 16일부터 19일까지 진행되는 LPGA BMW 레이디스 챔피언십 대회와 연계하면, 골프 관람과 해남 여행을 동시에 즐길 수 있다.

축제 기간 동안 해남의 대표 먹거리를 맛보며, 관광객들은 역사와 문화 탐방 기회도 놓치지 않을 수 있다.

11월 1일 오후: 호국의 성지 호국대전에서 불자 대상 수계 대법회

또한, 가을이 물든 대흥사 장춘 숲길(사색의 길)은 관광객들에게 숲 향을 즐기며 사색할 수 있는 명소로 꼽힌다.

최근 설문 조사에 따르면, 방문객의 68%가 숲길 체험을 통해 심리적 안정과 힐링 효과를 경험한 것으로 나타났다.

해남군 관계자는 “올해 미남축제는 관광, 문화, 역사, 체험을 한자리에서 즐길 수 있는 종합 축제로 준비했다.”며 “세계인에게 해남의 문화와 가을 풍경을 소개할 수 있는 절호의 기회”라고 밝혔다.

The annual Haenam Minam Festival, which celebrates autumn in Haenam County, Jeollanam-do, will be held this year from October 31 to November 2 at the Daehungsa Tourist Complex, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site.
The festival will be organized in the following order: Sweet Potato Experience Zone, Seaweed Experience Zone, Representative Food Area, Grand Performance, Experiences, Sales and Performances, Special Events, and Side Events, offering visitors an opportunity to enjoy Haenam’s history, culture, cuisine, and hands-on experiences all at once.
This year’s festival is expected to significantly contribute to the local economy, coinciding with the peak autumn tourism season. According to 2024 statistics, approximately 37% of visitors to Haenam County came for experience-oriented festivals, and during festival periods, local restaurants and accommodations saw an average sales increase of 23%.
In particular, the festival coincides with the LPGA BMW Ladies Championship held from October 16 to 19, allowing visitors to enjoy golf viewing along with a Haenam travel experience. During the festival, tourists can savor Haenam’s representative dishes while exploring its rich history and culture.

November 1, 10:00 AM: Seosan Daeje Autumn Grand Ritual at Daehungsa
November 1, Afternoon: Ordination Ceremony for Buddhists at the sacred site, Hokukdaejeon
November 1, 5:00 PM: Dharani Sutra 108 Recitations, held on the first Saturday of every month
Additionally, the Jangchun Forest Trail (Meditation Path) at Daehungsa, enhanced by the colors of autumn, is a renowned spot where visitors can enjoy the forest fragrance and peaceful contemplation. According to a recent survey, 68% of visitors reported experiencing psychological relaxation and healing effects through the forest trail experience.
A Haenam County official stated, “This year’s Minam Festival has been prepared as a comprehensive festival where visitors can enjoy tourism, culture, history, and hands-on experiences all in one place. It is a golden opportunity to introduce Haenam’s culture and autumn scenery to the world.”
