완도해경, 위험예보제 _관심_ 단계 발령 및 갯벌 해루질 안전 특별기간 운영 / 사진제공=완도해경

완도해경은 오늘(3일)부터 오는 12일까지 10일간 연안사고 위험예보제 ‘관심’ 단계를 발령하고, 연안사고 예방 활동을 강화한다고 밝혔다.

주요 활동으로는 연안사고 취약지역 순찰 강화와 연안체험객 대상 구명조끼 착용 계도 등이 있으며, 이를 통해 사고 발생 가능성을 사전에 차단한다.

또한, 완도해경은 3일부터 10일까지 8일간 ‘갯벌 및 해루질 안전 특별관리 기간’을 운영한다.

야간 해루질 대상 집중 안전 계도와 해루질 활동객 대상 안전수칙 홍보를 병행하며, 안전한 바다 만들기에 총력을 기울일 계획이다.

완도해경 관계자는 “추석 연휴 동안 가족과 함께 안전하고 즐거운 시간을 보내기 위해 무엇보다 안전이 최우선”이라며 “갯벌 및 해루질 활동 시 반드시 안전수칙을 지키고, 기상 변화에 각별히 주의해 달라”고 당부했다.

완도해경은 이번 특별관리 기간 동안 순찰과 홍보를 강화해, 안전한 명절 분위기 조성에 앞장설 방침이다.

Wando Coast Guard (Chief Kim Gil-gyu) has stepped up efforts to ensure coastal safety during the Chuseok holiday.
Starting today (October 3) until the 12th, the Coast Guard has issued an “Attention” level alert under the Coastal Accident Risk Forecast System and will intensify activities to prevent coastal accidents.
Key measures include increasing patrols in accident-prone coastal areas and encouraging visitors engaging in coastal activities to wear life jackets, aiming to prevent accidents before they occur.
In addition, from October 3 to 10, Wando Coast Guard will operate a special safety management period for tidal flats and shellfish-gathering activities. During this time, authorities will focus on night-time safety guidance and promote safety rules to those participating in shellfish-gathering activities, fully committing to creating a safer maritime environment.
A Wando Coast Guard official emphasized, “During the Chuseok holiday, safety should come first to ensure families can enjoy their time together. Please strictly follow safety rules when engaging in tidal flat or shellfish-gathering activities and pay close attention to changing weather conditions.”
The Coast Guard plans to strengthen patrols and safety awareness campaigns throughout this special management period to foster a safe and enjoyable holiday atmosphere.
