진도소방서는 추석 명절을 앞둔 9월 30일, 철마광장에서 향토문화회관까지 약 1.2km 구간에서 ‘안전한 추석 명절 보내기’ 가두 캠페인을 실시했다.
이번 캠페인에는 소방공무원과 의용소방대원 등 총 260여 명이 참여했으며, 철마광장에서 집결한 뒤 아리랑 사거리를 거쳐 향토문화회관까지 행진하며 군민들에게 화재 예방의 중요성을 홍보했다.
참가자들은 어깨띠와 플래카드 등 시각자료를 활용해 주택용 소방시설 선물하기, 차량용 소화기 비치 의무화 등 개정된 관련 법령과 안전수칙을 안내했다.
특히, 가정과 상가에서 발생할 수 있는 부주의 화재를 예방하고, 군민 스스로 안전 의식을 높이는 데 중점을 뒀다.
이날 캠페인에서는 소방차 퍼레이드도 함께 진행됐다.
지휘차, 펌프차, 구급차 등 3대의 소방차가 캠페인 행렬에 참여하며 주민들의 시선을 끌었다.
진도소방서는 이번 캠페인을 통해 군민과 함께하는 자율적 예방 분위기를 조성하고, 안전한 명절 환경 마련에 기여하겠다는 방침이다.
김재출 진도소방서장은 “추석 명절을 맞아 화재 위험이 증가하는 만큼, 군민 모두가 기본적인 안전수칙을 준수하고 주택용 소방시설을 갖추는 데 관심을 가져주길 바란다.”며 “앞으로도 군민과 함께하는 다양한 예방 활동을 지속적으로 추진하겠다.”고 말했다.

Jindo Fire Station Holds ‘Safe Chuseok Holiday’ Street Campaign
Jindo Fire Station conducted a “Safe Chuseok Holiday” street campaign on September 30, ahead of the holiday, marching about 1.2 kilometers from Cheolma Square to the Local Culture Center.
A total of around 260 participants, including firefighters and volunteer fire brigade members, joined the campaign. The group assembled at Cheolma Square and marched through Arirang Intersection to the Local Culture Center, actively promoting the importance of fire prevention to local residents.
Participants carried sashes and banners to raise awareness about updated safety regulations, such as the “Gift a Home Fire Safety Kit” initiative and the mandatory installation of fire extinguishers in vehicles. The campaign particularly emphasized preventing careless fires in homes and commercial establishments and encouraged residents to take personal responsibility for safety.
A fire truck parade was also held as part of the campaign, drawing public attention with the participation of three vehicles — a command car, a fire engine, and an ambulance.
Jindo Fire Station stated that it aims to foster a culture of voluntary fire prevention together with residents and contribute to creating a safe holiday environment.
Chief Kim Jae-chul of Jindo Fire Station said,
“As the risk of fire increases during the Chuseok holiday, we urge all residents to follow basic safety guidelines and ensure that their homes are equipped with fire safety devices. We will continue to promote a variety of preventive activities in collaboration with the community.”
