진도군은 추석 연휴를 맞아 오는 10월 3일(금)부터 9일(목)까지 진도개테마파크에서 ‘진도개 도그(Dog) 스포츠 특별 공연’을 진행한다고 밝혔다.
연휴 기간 동안 매일 오전 11시부터 진행되는 이번 특별 공연에서는 진도개의 장애물 경주(어질리티)와 진도개 달리기 등 다양한 프로그램이 펼쳐진다. 방문객들은 진도개 강아지와 교감할 수 있는 학습체험장에서 특별한 체험도 즐길 수 있다.
진돗개 테마파크에는 관광객이 즐길 수 있는 강아지 놀이터, 미니 동물농장, 어린이 놀이시설, 진도개 홍보관과 휴식 공간이 마련돼 가족 단위 방문객에게 풍성한 즐길거리를 제공한다.
진도군 진돗개 축산과 관계자는 “이번 추석 연휴 동안 고향을 방문한 귀성객과 가족들이 진돗개 테마파크에서 잊지 못할 추억을 만들길 바란다.”고 전했다.
한편, 진도군은 오는 10월 말 어린이들이 자연 재료를 활용해 놀이와 학습을 할 수 있는 생태체험 공간과 휴식이 가능한 자연 생태공간을 진돗개 테마파크 내에 조성할 계획이다.
진도개의 우수성을 체험과 교육으로 연계해 지역 관광과 문화 활성화에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

Jindo County to Hold Special “Jindo Dog Sports” Performances During Chuseok HolidayOctober 3–9, starting at 11 a.m. at Jindo Dog Theme Park
[Jindo = Haenam News] – Jindo County announced that it will host a special “Jindo Dog Sports” performance at Jindo Dog Theme Park from Friday, October 3, to Thursday, October 9, in celebration of the Chuseok holiday.
The daily performances, starting at 11 a.m., will feature a variety of programs including Jindo dogs’ agility obstacle courses and running events. Visitors will also have the opportunity to interact with Jindo puppies in a hands-on learning experience.
The Jindo Dog Theme Park offers a wide range of attractions for families, including a dog playground, a mini petting zoo, children’s play facilities, a Jindo dog exhibition hall, and rest areas.
A Jindo County official from the Jindo Dog Livestock Division stated, “We hope that visitors returning home for Chuseok and their families will create unforgettable memories at the Jindo Dog Theme Park.”
Additionally, by the end of October, the park plans to open an ecological experience space where children can play and learn using natural materials, as well as a natural ecological area for relaxation. Linking the excellence of the Jindo dog with educational and experiential programs is expected to contribute to regional tourism and cultural promotion.
