진도군은 지난 25일 진도군청 회의실에서 ‘미래전략위원회’를 개최하고 전문가 자문을 통한 군정 발전 방안 모색에 나섰다고 밝혔다.
진도군 미래전략위원회는 관광, 문화, 행정, 기획, 전략 등 다양한 분야에서 풍부한 경험과 식견을 갖춘 13명의 위원으로 구성돼 있으며, 지난해 출범 이후 군의 발전 방향과 현안 과제를 국가 계획에 반영하기 위해 공동 협력하고 있다.
이번 회의에서는 대통령 공약 사항을 현실화할 방안과 진도군의 새로운 성장 동력이 될 신규 사업 발굴, 주민 소득 향상을 위한 정책 모색 등 주요 군정 과제에 대한 열띤 논의가 진행됐다.
특히 위원회는 지난 7월 18일부터 9월 23일까지 사전 의견 수렴을 통해 분야별 정책 제안을 준비하고, 심층 자문을 진행했다.
김희수 진도군수는 “새 정부 출범 이후 진도군민의 지역 발전에 대한 기대가 크다”며 “대통령 공약을 현실화하고 군이 직면한 현안을 해결하는 데 미래전략위원회가 함께해 주길 바란다.”고 말했다.
군은 이번 회의에서 제안된 정책 과제를 면밀히 검토해 향후 군정 주요 시책으로 적극 추진할 계획이다.
민선 8기 3년 동안의 성과를 기반으로 주민 생활 개선과 지역 경제 활성화에 기여하는 정책 추진에 속도를 낸다는 방침이다.

Jindo County Explores Future Growth Engines through Expert Advisory of Future Strategy Committee
Sharing Achievements of the 3rd Year of the 8th Civil Administration and Accelerating New Policy Development
Jindo County announced that it held a meeting of the “Future Strategy Committee” at the Jindo County Office on September 25, aiming to explore ways to advance county administration through expert advice.
The Jindo County Future Strategy Committee is composed of 13 members with extensive experience and insight in tourism, culture, administration, planning, and strategy. Since its launch last year, the committee has worked collaboratively to provide guidance on the county’s development direction and to help reflect key administrative issues in national plans.
At the meeting, lively discussions were held on ways to realize presidential campaign pledges, discover new projects that could become growth engines for Jindo County, and explore policies to increase residents’ income.
In particular, the committee conducted in-depth advisory sessions based on prior consultations held from July 18 to September 23, gathering opinions on areas requiring expert guidance and preparing policy proposals by sector.
Kim Hee-soo, Jindo County Mayor, said, “Since the launch of the new government, the expectations of Jindo residents for regional development are high. I hope the Future Strategy Committee will join us in realizing presidential pledges and addressing the challenges our county faces.”
The county plans to thoroughly review the policy proposals put forward during the meeting and actively pursue them as key administrative initiatives. Based on the achievements of the third year of the 8th civil administration, Jindo County intends to accelerate the implementation of policies that contribute to improving residents’ lives and revitalizing the local economy.
