‘제20회 진도군수배 전남·광주 생활체육 테니스대회’가 지난 8월 30일부터 31일까지 2일간 진도 공설테니스장을 비롯한 3개 경기장에서 성황리에 열렸다.
이번 대회에는 전남과 광주 지역에서 모인 생활체육 테니스 동호인 약 500명이 참가했으며, 남자 오픈부, 여자 오픈부, 남자신인부 등 3개 부문에서 토너먼트 방식으로 경기가 펼쳐졌다.
진도군은 이번 대회를 비롯해 다양한 생활체육 행사를 연이어 개최하며 ‘스포츠 도시 진도’의 위상을 높이고 있다.
또한 생활체육을 통한 건전한 여가문화 확산과 더불어 지역경제 활성화에도 기여하고 있다.
김희수 진도군수는 개회식에서 “진도를 찾아주신 테니스 동호인 여러분을 진심으로 환영한다.”며 “그동안 갈고닦은 기량을 마음껏 펼치고, 진도의 멋과 맛을 즐기며 행복한 추억을 만드시길 바란다.”고 환영의 뜻을 전했다.
한편, 이번 대회에서는 남자오픈부 장승후-이유성 조, 여자 오픈부 조영희-곽복자 조, 남자신인부 박지형-장승후 조가 각각 우승을 차지했다.

Jindo-gun Successfully Concludes the 20th Jindo County Governor’s Cup Tennis Tournament for Jeonnam & Gwangju Amateur Players
― Consecutive amateur sports events position Jindo as a rising “Sports City” ―
The 20th Jindo County Governor’s Cup Jeonnam & Gwangju Amateur Tennis Tournament was held successfully over two days, from August 30 to 31, at Jindo Public Tennis Court and two other venues.
The tournament drew around 500 amateur tennis enthusiasts from across Jeollanam-do and Gwangju, competing in three categories — Men’s Open, Women’s Open, and Men’s Rookie — in a knockout format.
Through this tournament and a series of similar amateur sporting events, Jindo-gun is enhancing its reputation as a “Sports City,” while also fostering a healthy leisure culture and revitalizing the local economy.
At the opening ceremony, Jindo County Governor Kim Hee-su welcomed participants, saying, “I sincerely welcome all the tennis enthusiasts who have come to Jindo. I hope you showcase your skills to the fullest, and also enjoy Jindo’s charm, taste, and hospitality while creating lasting memories.”
Meanwhile, the championship titles went to the following pairs: Jang Seung-hoo & Lee Yoo-sung in the Men’s Open division, Cho Young-hee & Kwak Bok-ja in the Women’s Open division, and Park Ji-hyung & Jang Seung-hoo in the Men’s Rookie division.
