 진도군, ‘민생회복 소비쿠폰 조기 사용 캠페인’ 펼쳐 |
진도군(군수 김희수)은 27일 진도읍 조금시장 일원에서 ‘민생회복 소비쿠폰 조기 사용 캠페인’을 펼치고, 군민들의 전통시장 및 골목상권 이용을 적극 독려했다.
이번 캠페인에는 김희수 진도군수를 비롯해 한국외식업중앙회 진도군지부, 진도군소상공인연합회 등 50여 명이 참여해 소비쿠폰의 조기 사용을 권장하고 상인과 주민들에게 홍보물을 배포하며 지역경제 활성화의 필요성을 알렸다.
김희수 군수는 “민생회복 소비쿠폰은 지역경제의 숨통을 틔우는 마중물 역할을 한다.”며 “조기 사용을 통해 상권이 활력을 되찾고 소상공인의 매출 증대에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.”고 밝혔다.
이어 “앞으로도 군민의 생활 안정과 지역경제 회복을 위한 다양한 지원책을 마련하겠다.”고 덧붙였다.
특히 진도군은 최근 지역경제 동향 분석 결과, 소매·음식업 매출이 전년 대비 3.8% 감소하고, 전통시장 방문객 수 역시 체감 감소세를 보이고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
이에 군은 소비쿠폰을 통한 소비 촉진이 침체된 내수 회복에 실질적 도움이 될 것으로 판단하고 있다.
한편, 민생회복 소비쿠폰 1차분 신청 기간은 9월 12일까지이며, 신청 방법은 신용·체크카드 충전(카드사 누리집·고객센터·제휴 은행), 진도아리랑상품권 지류형(주소지 관할 읍면사무소 방문), 모바일·카드형(지역사랑상품권 CHAK 앱)으로 다양하다.
쿠폰 사용 기한은 11월 30일까지이며, 미사용 금액은 자동 소멸된다.
이번 캠페인은 단순한 지원사업 홍보를 넘어, 지역민들의 소비 참여를 실질적으로 유도하고 지역 상권의 활력을 회복하기 위한 정책적 실천이라는 점에서 주목된다.

Jindo County Launches “Early Use Campaign” for the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons
― Boosting Traditional Markets and Local Businesses to Revive the Regional Economy ―
Jindo County (Mayor Hee-su Kim) held an “Early Use Campaign” for the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons on the 27th at Jogeum Market in Jindo-eup, actively encouraging residents to use traditional markets and local businesses.
Approximately 50 participants joined the campaign, including Mayor Hee-su Kim, the Jindo branch of the Korea Food Service Association, and the Jindo Small Business Association. They promoted the early use of consumption coupons and distributed informational materials to merchants and residents, highlighting the importance of revitalizing the local economy.
Mayor Kim stated, “The Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons serve as a catalyst to stimulate the regional economy. Early use of these coupons is expected to help revive local markets and contribute to increased sales for small business owners.” He added, “We will continue to develop various support measures to ensure residents’ livelihood stability and foster regional economic recovery.”
Recent analysis of Jindo County’s economic trends shows that retail and food service sales have decreased by 3.8% compared to the previous year, and visits to traditional markets are also showing a noticeable decline. The county expects that promoting coupon usage will provide practical support for recovering sluggish domestic consumption.
The first round of applications for the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons is open until September 12. Residents can apply via credit/debit card recharge (through card company websites, customer centers, or affiliated banks), Jindo Arirang gift certificates in paper form (by visiting the local town office), or mobile/card type (through the local love gift certificate CHAK app). Coupons must be used by November 30, and any unused balance will expire automatically.
This campaign goes beyond simply promoting a support program; it is a strategic effort to actively encourage local residents to participate in consumption and revitalize neighborhood markets, drawing attention as a practical policy measure.
