해남에서 만난 역사와 감동!

전라남도해남교육지원청(교육장 조연주)은 10월 15일 오후 7시 해남 꿈누리센터에서 해남동초등학교 3학년 학생과 학부모를 대상으로 ‘이순신 義기양양 렉쳐콘서트’를 개최했다.

‘렉쳐콘서트(Lecture Concert)’는 강의(lecture)와 콘서트(concert)를 결합한 형식으로, 이야기와 라이브 음악이 함께하는 해설이 있는 음악회를 의미한다.

이번 공연은 위인의 삶을 음악과 강연으로 재조명해, 초등학생들이 자연스럽게 역사적 가치와 인물의 정신을 배울 수 있도록 기획됐다.

공연은 충무공 이순신 장군의 주요 생애를 중심으로 구성됐으며, 생생한 역사적 사건 해설과 다채로운 음악이 어우러져 새로운 형식의 무대를 선보였다.

학생들은 위인전 속 인물이 음악 속에서 살아 움직이는 듯한 생생한 감동을 느꼈고, 학부모들 또한 자녀와 함께 역사를 새롭게 만나는 특별한 시간이었다고 입을 모았다.

공연을 관람한 한 학생은 “음악으로 이순신 장군 이야기를 들으니까 더 잘 이해됐다”, “역사 공부가 재미있어졌다”고 소감을 밝혔으며, 한 학부모는 “감동적인 무대였다. 이런 교육활동이 더 많아졌으면 좋겠다.”고 전했다.

조연주 교육장은 “이순신 장군의 의로움과 헌신을 렉쳐콘서트라는 형식으로 만날 수 있었던 이번 행사가 학생들에게 오래 기억될 감동의 시간으로 남기를 바란다.”며 “앞으로도 해남교육지원청은 역사와 감성이 결합된 창의적 교육활동을 지속적으로 추진하겠다.”고 말했다.

Yi Sun-sin “Righteous Spirit Lecture Concert” Successfully Held
– The Life of Admiral Yi Sun-sin Brought to Life Through Music and Storytelling –
The Haenam Office of Education (Superintendent Cho Yeon-joo) held the “Yi Sun-sin Righteous Spirit Lecture Concert” on October 15 at 7 p.m. at the Haenam Dreamnuri Center, targeting third-grade students and parents of Haenam-dong Elementary School.
A “Lecture Concert” combines lecture and concert — a form of musical performance accompanied by storytelling and live music.
This program was designed to reinterpret the life of a historical figure through music and narrative, helping elementary students naturally understand historical values and the spirit of great figures.
The concert focused on the major episodes of Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s life, blending vivid historical storytelling with rich musical performances to create a new and engaging stage format.
Students said they felt as if the legendary hero they had read about in biographies came to life through music, while parents described the event as a meaningful opportunity to rediscover history together with their children.
One student commented, “Listening to Admiral Yi’s story through music helped me understand it better,” and another added, “History became more fun.”
A parent also shared, “It was a moving performance. I hope to see more educational programs like this.”
Superintendent Cho Yeon-joo stated, “I hope this event, which allowed students to experience Admiral Yi’s righteousness and devotion through a lecture concert, will remain a lasting and touching memory for them.”
She added, “The Haenam Office of Education will continue to promote creative educational activities that combine history and emotion.”
