진도군은 해양수산부(장관 전재수)가 추석 명절을 맞아 청정 해역 진도에서 생산된 새우, 멸치, 다시마 등 대표 수산물로 구성된 선물 꾸러미 약 300개를 구매했다고 밝혔다.

해양정책, 수산, 어촌 개발, 수산물 유통 등 관련 업무를 총괄하는 중앙행정기관인 해양수산부가 진도군 수산물을 선택한 것은 진도 수산물의 품질과 우수성을 공식적으로 인정받은 사례로 평가된다.

진도군 농수산유통사업소 관계자는 “해양수산부에서 진도군 수산물을 추석 선물로 구매해 주신 데 대해 감사드리며, 진도 수산물의 가치와 이미지 제고에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.”고 전했다.

한편, 진도군은 지역 농수특산물 판로 확대를 위해 직거래장터 참가, 대형 유통업체 납품 지원, 해외 수출시장 개척 등 다양한 노력을 기울이고 있다. 또한 온라인 쇼핑몰 ‘진도아리랑몰’ 할인 행사 등을 통해 진도 특산물 소비 촉진과 인지도 향상에도 힘쓰고 있다.

Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries Chooses “Clean Jindo Seafood” as Chuseok Gift
– Recognition of the Excellence of Jindo’s Agricultural and Marine Specialties –
Jindo County announced that the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (Minister Jeon Jae-soo) has purchased approximately 300 gift packages for the Chuseok holiday, featuring representative seafood products from Jindo’s clean waters, including shrimp, anchovies, and kelp.
The selection of Jindo’s seafood by the Ministry, which oversees ocean policy, fisheries, rural development, and seafood distribution, is regarded as an official recognition of the quality and excellence of Jindo’s seafood.
A representative from Jindo County’s Agricultural and Marine Distribution Office stated, “We are grateful that the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries chose Jindo seafood as a Chuseok gift, and we expect this will greatly contribute to enhancing the value and image of Jindo’s seafood.”
Meanwhile, Jindo County continues to make various efforts to expand the market for local agricultural and marine specialties, including participation in direct trade markets, support for delivery to major distributors, and exploration of overseas export markets. The county also promotes consumption and awareness of Jindo specialties through online shopping events, such as discounts on the ‘Jindo Arirang Mall’.
