대한적십자사 진도군협의회는 최근 관내 홀로 계신 어르신과 취약계층을 위해 ‘추석맞이 송편 빚기·나눔 행사’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 범국민적 온기 나눔 캠페인의 일환으로 마련됐다.

행사에는 협의회 회원 약 50명이 참여해 직접 송편을 빚고, 이를 취약계층 400가구에 전달하며 따뜻한 이웃 사랑을 실천했다.

류숙이 대한적십자사 진도군협의회장은 “추석에 홀로 지내는 이웃들에게 따뜻함을 전할 수 있어 기쁘다.”며, “앞으로도 회원들과 함께 도움이 필요한 곳에 적극적으로 자원봉사 활동을 이어가겠다.”고 말했다.

진도군 주민복지과 관계자는 “이번 행사는 소외된 이웃들과 명절의 기쁨을 함께 나누는 뜻깊은 시간이었다.”며, “앞으로도 지역사회 공동체의 유대를 강화할 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”고 전했다.

Korean Red Cross Jindo Chapter Holds Chuseok Rice Cake Sharing Event
Warm Hearts Delivered to 400 Households, Including Elderly Living Alone and Vulnerable Families
The Korean Red Cross Jindo Chapter recently held a “Chuseok Rice Cake Making and Sharing Event” for elderly residents living alone and vulnerable families in the region.
The event was organized as part of a nationwide campaign to share warmth and care.
Approximately 50 members of the chapter participated in the event, making rice cakes by hand and delivering them to 400 vulnerable households, demonstrating acts of neighborly love and community support.
Ryu Sook-yi, Chairperson of the Korean Red Cross Jindo Chapter, said, “We are delighted to share warmth with neighbors spending Chuseok alone. We will continue to actively engage in volunteer activities with our members to support those in need.”
A representative from the Jindo County Resident Welfare Division stated, “This event was a meaningful opportunity to share the joy of the holiday with marginalized neighbors. We will continue our efforts to strengthen the bonds within the local community.”
