진도군은 최근 진도군보건소 앞에서 임산부 등 군민 약 100명이 참석한 가운데 ‘출산통합지원센터’ 개소식을 갖고 본격 운영을 시작했다고 밝혔다.

출산통합지원센터는 출산 가정과 영유아를 위한 맞춤형 복합 공간으로, 임신부터 출산, 육아까지 실질적인 도움을 제공하는 다양한 시설을 갖추고 있다.

주요 시설로는 어린이 자동차 놀이시설인 ‘도담도담 놀이터’, 수유실, ‘맘앤아이’ 쉼터, 프로그램실 등이 마련되어 있다.

센터는 또한 지역 내 부모들이 육아 정보를 공유하고 소통할 수 있는 프로그램을 운영하며, 지역 공동체 중심의 육아 문화를 활성화하는 데 기여할 계획이다.

진도군은 이를 통해 ‘아이 낳고 키우기 좋은’ 환경 조성을 본격 추진할 방침이다.

김희수 진도군수는 기념사에서 “사회의 미래를 여는 원천인 아이를 위한 공간이 마련됐다”며, “군민이 체감할 수 있는 변화를 지속적으로 만들어 나가고, 앞으로도 아이 낳고 키우기 좋은 진도를 실현하기 위해 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.

Jindo County Opens ‘Integrated Childbirth Support Center’
Taking Steps Toward a Child-Friendly Jindo
Jindo County recently held the opening ceremony of the ‘Integrated Childbirth Support Center’ in front of the Jindo County Health Center, with about 100 residents, including expectant mothers, in attendance. The center has officially begun operations.
The Integrated Childbirth Support Center is a tailored multi-purpose space for families with newborns and young children, providing practical support from pregnancy to childbirth and child-rearing.
Key facilities include the children’s car play area “Dodam Dodam Playground,” nursing rooms, the “Mom & I” rest area, and program rooms.
The center will also run programs for local parents to share parenting information and communicate with one another, contributing to the promotion of a community-centered child-rearing culture.
Through these initiatives, Jindo County aims to actively create an environment where it is easier to have and raise children.
Kim Hee-su, Jindo County Mayor, stated in his commemorative speech, “A space for children, who are the source of our society’s future, has been established. We will continue to make tangible changes that residents can feel and do our utmost to realize a Jindo where it is good to have and raise children.”
