완도해양치유센터, 추석 연휴 3,600여 명 방문 ‘성황’

완도해양치유센터가 추석 연휴(10월 3일~9일) 동안 3,600여 명이 방문하며 큰 성황을 이뤘다. 특히 10월 8일에는 하루 방문객이 678명에 달해 개관 이후 일일 최다 기록을 새로 썼다.

연휴 기간 센터에서는 해양치유 프로그램과 함께 윷놀이·제기차기 등 전통 민속놀이 체험을 진행해 어린이부터 어르신까지 전 세대가 함께 즐길 수 있는 ‘추석 힐링 이벤트’로 큰 호응을 얻었다.

가족 단위 방문객이 주를 이룬 가운데, 한 이용객은 “부모님과 함께 모든 세대가 만족한 명절 프로그램이었다.”며 “탁 트인 바다를 보며 힐링할 수 있어 잊지 못할 추석이 됐다”고 전했다.

군 관계자는 “전국 각지에서 찾아온 방문객들을 통해 해양치유에 대한 높은 관심을 확인했다”며 “앞으로도 계절별·시즌별 특색 있는 프로그램을 운영해 완도를 대표하는 힐링 관광지로 더욱 발전시켜 나가겠다.”고 밝혔다.

한편, 완도해양치유센터는 청정한 해양기후와 해조류, 해수, 머드 등을 활용한 16종의 테라피 프로그램을 갖춘 국내 유일의 해양치유 전문 시설로, 개관 이후 누적 방문객이 11만 명에 달하고 있다.

Sets New Daily Record with 678 Visitors on October 8 – Emerging as a Family Healing Destination
The Wando Marine Healing Center drew more than 3,600 visitors during the Chuseok holiday period (October 3–9), marking a festive success. In particular, October 8 saw a record-breaking 678 visitors, the highest single-day attendance since the center’s opening.
Throughout the holiday, the center hosted traditional folk games such as yutnori (a Korean board game) and jegichagi (a traditional kicking game) alongside its signature marine healing programs, offering multi-generational enjoyment through a special “Chuseok Healing Event.”
Many families visited the center. One guest commented, “It was a holiday program that satisfied every generation in our family. Being able to enjoy the vast ocean scenery made this Chuseok truly unforgettable.”
A county official said, “The large number of visitors from across the country demonstrates the growing interest and expectations for marine healing,” adding, “We will continue to develop diverse, seasonal programs to further establish Wando as a leading healing and wellness destination.”
The Wando Marine Healing Center is the nation’s only specialized marine healing facility, offering 16 types of therapy programs that utilize the area’s pristine marine climate, seaweed, seawater, and mud. Since its opening, the center has welcomed a cumulative total of 110,000 visitors
