해남소방서(서장 박춘천)는 지난 9일부터 10일까지 해남동초등학교 학생들을 대상으로 이동체험차량을 활용한 ‘학교로 찾아가는 소방안전교육’을 진행했다.

이번 교육은 소방청과 교육부가 함께 추진하는 협력사업으로, 안전체험시설이 부족해 직접 체험관을 방문하기 어려운 지역 학생들에게 소방안전 체험 기회를 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.

이틀간 진행된 교육에서 학생들은 지진 발생 시 안전하게 대피하는 방법, 119 신고 요령, 소화기 사용법 등을 직접 체험하며 위기 상황에 스스로 대처할 수 있는 능력을 키웠다.

특히 이동체험차량은 실제 상황과 유사한 환경을 조성해 학생들이 놀이하듯 즐겁게 참여할 수 있도록 구성되어 안전의식 함양에 큰 도움이 됐다는 평가를 받았다.

박춘천 해남소방서장은 “아이들이 어릴 때부터 안전의 중요성을 자연스럽게 체득할 수 있는 좋은 계기가 되길 바란다.”며, “앞으로도 학생 눈높이에 맞춘 체험형 안전교육을 꾸준히 개발하고 확대해 나가겠다.”고 말했다.

Haenam Fire Station Runs Mobile Safety Experience Program at Schools
― Hands-on Fire Safety Education Tailored to Elementary Students Well Received ―
The Haenam Fire Station (Chief Park Chun-cheon) conducted the “Fire Safety Education Visiting Schools” program on September 9–10 for students at Haenam-dong Elementary School, using a mobile experience vehicle.
This program, jointly promoted by the National Fire Agency and the Ministry of Education, was designed to provide safety experience opportunities for students in areas with limited access to safety facilities and where visits to safety centers are difficult.
During the two-day program, students learned how to evacuate safely during an earthquake, how to report emergencies to 119, and how to properly use a fire extinguisher. Through direct participation, they were able to strengthen their awareness of safety and enhance their ability to respond to disasters.
In particular, the mobile experience vehicle recreated environments similar to real-life situations, allowing students to participate in a fun, game-like manner. This approach proved highly effective in cultivating safety awareness.
Chief Park Chun-cheon of Haenam Fire Station stated, “We hope this program serves as a valuable opportunity for children to naturally learn the importance of safety from a young age. We will continue to develop and expand hands-on safety education tailored to students’ needs.”
